About this experience
Reduced rates on advanced bookings for winter 24/25! We are anticipating A TON of snow this year. Let's get out there! We are still new on this platform and need to earn more raving reviews. We have our rates low just to make sure we get with some great people and get outside. Our snowshoe experience is more rugged and adventurous than other treks on private ranches or hillsides near town. We take you (by permit) into the National Forest to capture amazing scenery and views. We also consider everyone's comfort level and tailor the experience to trails and distances that match your interest and ability. No prior snowshoeing experience is necessary. We got this!

MTXutah - The Best Ticket in Park City!
I highly recommend you book an experience with MTXutah. We have booked the past two years we have visited Park City - both times the MTXutah experience was the highlight of our trip. We have done just about every experience Park City has to offer - from dog sledding to snowmobiling - and our time with CJ consistently ranks as the most memorable. CJ exhibits that rare combination of knowledge, enthusiasm and sheer will to make sure you will have a wonderful time. You will NOT be disappointed. Thank you CJ. See you next time!

Amazing snowshoeing adventure
We had the best time snowshoeing with our guide CJ. He was friendly, super knowledgeable and took us in the backcountry where it was just us and nature. The trek was personalized to our skills and so much fun. This is a great workout and allows you to see areas of the Utah mountains you wouldn’t otherwise. CJ provided transportation from our accommodations, snacks and water. Do yourself a favor and book this adventure!

Back country snoeshoe hike at Uinita National Park
This was the perfect snowshoe experience for me. We did a short hike into the Uinita National Forest. The scenery and views were amazing. We went at a pace that was good for me. 3 miles was perfect for me but we could have done less or hiked further. I enjoyed CJ's company and stories. Cj accomodated pickup/dropoff at my hotel. We only saw a few other people on the trail. I had a great time.

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Backcountry snowshoeing in pristine Utah mountains: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Park City.
How much does Backcountry snowshoeing in pristine Utah mountains cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Park City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Backcountry snowshoeing in pristine Utah mountains take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Park City is not rushed.
Is Backcountry snowshoeing in pristine Utah mountains worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Park City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Backcountry snowshoeing in pristine Utah mountains?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Backcountry snowshoeing in pristine Utah mountains suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Backcountry snowshoeing in pristine Utah mountains?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Park City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Park City and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Backcountry snowshoeing in pristine Utah mountains start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Park City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Park City?
+
Park City sells lift-served skiing and snowboarding in winter, then flips to mountain biking, hot air balloons, ziplines and Uinta hiking in summer, with Main Street history and distillery tours year round. Equipment and lift-ticket inclusions vary a lot. On Outty we rank every Park City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Urban Art and Historical E-Bike Tour in Park City, Guided Fly Fishing Experience in Park City, 2 Day Rental of Park City Premium Ski Package. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Park City?
+
December to March for snow, June to September for trails. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Park City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
