A Fun Day Out (if it's not too crowded)

While historically this 'French' village on the top of a mountain may once have been a summer retreat for the colonial classes it is now no more than an 'adventure playground'. It has been developed to attract tourists and local families and its success shows in the visitor numbers - my April visit was in the low season and I would not want to think what high season could be like! Booking with a tour can have some advantages like missing some of the entrance queues for the cable cars but I was told by fellow travelers that they were disappointed by the lunch arrangements that involved long lines and were subject to time slots. These meal 'options' seem to be 'pushed' by the tour companies but as I found out there are numerous restaurants and food stalls that allow you to eat what you want, when you want. A generously filled fresh Banh Mi (Sub sandwich) and a drink were a cheaper and filling snack. The views from the cable cars and Fantasy Castle were as to be expected, hills mountains, distance plus some of the decorative elements (architecture, statues, art etc.) were all great fun but sometimes a bit gauche. Amusingly the copies of Roman and Greek statues modestly sported fig leaves unlike the the originals! The return cable car stops at the Golden Hand bridge which is cleverly constructed and has become an attraction in its own right, but I did not think it worthwhile except as the only way to visit the gardens which I had been keen to see. Unfortunately they were smaller than I had imagined but did have some interesting hard landscaping and artistic displays. There is still extensive construction under way (quite a feat at nearly 1500 mtrs) and two more cables are planned to join the existing seven(!) already in operation. This is the kind of place that, for me, only warrants one visit, but I can imagine children pestering parents and grandparents for exciting repeats visits. There are even hotels in the chateau but I can't imagine what it must be like staying for any length of time in a Fantasy Adventure park.....But Disney and others have similar hotels, so each to his own, I say.

Ba na hills

Got picked up in from of the hotel. Not perfectly smooth, but after a while it became good. Mr Alex was a great guide, nice Personality. BUT. There was a stop included before we even got out of Danang city. The stop at a jewelshop was nice, informative. But totally unexpected and totally no need for. And thats why i cant give the trip absolutely best remark.

It was pretty good!

It was really good! The website made it a bit hard to understand what was specifically involved in each package. But our guide Tom explained it really well. I wish we had a little more time in each place, Ba Na Hills is beautiful and I felt a little bit rushed each time (in saying that, you still get a good 2-3 hours in each hill, Ba Na Hills is just massive and so beautiful).

Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge Tour: Fantasy Park, Buffet Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Da Nang.

How much does Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge Tour: Fantasy Park, Buffet Lunch cost?

+

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Da Nang usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge Tour: Fantasy Park, Buffet Lunch take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Da Nang is not rushed.

Is Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge Tour: Fantasy Park, Buffet Lunch worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Da Nang, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge Tour: Fantasy Park, Buffet Lunch?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge Tour: Fantasy Park, Buffet Lunch suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge Tour: Fantasy Park, Buffet Lunch?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Da Nang can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Da Nang and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge Tour: Fantasy Park, Buffet Lunch start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Da Nang within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Da Nang?

+

On Outty we rank every Da Nang experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Golden Bridge and Ba Na Hills Small Group Tour, Marble Mountains - Am Phu Cave - Monkey Mountain Sunset tour, Lady Buddha, Marble Mountains, Coconut Jungle & Hoian City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Da Nang?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Da Nang?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
