Great tour and great guide

Iku was amazing! I felt like I spent the morning with a friend, as I was the only person who booked that day. I learned so much that I never would have even thought to wonder about. This was a great way to start my two week trip in Hokkaido- Iku gave me tips for Sapporo but also beyond! Highly recommend. PS: she knows all the great photo spots! She took many great pictures for me to send to loved ones.

I had a great time with Iku as the guide! She had a binder full of facts on the area and answered any questions the group had. I went as a solo traveler and felt comfortable being led around to different points of interest by Iku. She showed us some good photo opportunities and helped take photos as well. She helped me collect a goshuin when I asked about it. I learned alot from this experience and have a deeper appreciation of Sapporo.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! I’m glad you felt comfortable joining the tour as a solo traveler and that you enjoyed exploring Sapporo with us. It was my pleasure to help you collect a goshuin and share some of the city’s history and culture. I’m delighted to hear that the experience gave you a deeper appreciation of Sapporo. Safe travels, and I hope to welcome you back to Hokkaido someday!

Sapporo tour and lunch

Our tour guide was Tom. He was excellent and was very helpful in giving me information about the area in Sapporo where my mother was from. He made my trip very special for me. His English was great.

Response from the operator: Hi Harley, Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a true honor to be part of such a meaningful journey. Helping you explore Sapporo, the city connected to your mother's roots, and diving into the local history was an incredibly special and rewarding experience for me as well. Uncovering those pieces of the past together is something I will always remember. Thank you for trusting me with such an important trip. I hope Sapporo will always hold a special place in your heart. Please come back to visit anytime! Warmly, Tom

Authentic Sapporo: Nijo Market Seafood Lunch & Local History Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sapporo.

How much does Authentic Sapporo: Nijo Market Seafood Lunch & Local History Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $4700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sapporo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Authentic Sapporo: Nijo Market Seafood Lunch & Local History Tour take?

+

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sapporo is not rushed.

Is Authentic Sapporo: Nijo Market Seafood Lunch & Local History Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sapporo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Authentic Sapporo: Nijo Market Seafood Lunch & Local History Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Authentic Sapporo: Nijo Market Seafood Lunch & Local History Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Authentic Sapporo: Nijo Market Seafood Lunch & Local History Tour?

+

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sapporo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sapporo and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Authentic Sapporo: Nijo Market Seafood Lunch & Local History Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sapporo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sapporo?

+

On Outty we rank every Sapporo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sapporo Bar Hopping Food Tour, Wagashi traditional japanese sweets class, Sapporo Private Tour with a Local – Highlights & Hidden Gems. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sapporo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sapporo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
