    About this experience

This is a unique experience that takes place at an organic community farm and kitchen run by a group of locals interested in sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. Enjoy cooking and dining in a rustic, traditional, outdoor Balinese kitchen. Walk around an organic farm to pick up ingredients, then cook and eat a traditional Balinese meal, and engage in some cultural discussion. Your fun and interactive organic farm tour lasts for about 30-45 mins as you walk through tall bushes and muddy land gathering ingredients like beans and lemongrass. After sipping on a cold beverage, and donning an apron, start by helping Kadek prepare and cook an authentic Balinese meal. Enjoy a meal of the dishes you prepared along with a couple of dishes that Kadek will have prepared in advance. Kadek will also give you a cookbook with recipes of the dishes you cooked so that you can re-create them back home!

Amazing cooking experience, I would definitely do this again!

We had Putu as our guide and teacher. She honestly was amazing and so welcoming. We learnt so much about the Balinese culture and food. Thank you for having us in your home and teaching us. It was such a lovely evening and so much food. We cooked a total of 5 delisted dishes tailored to our spice pallet to. Anyone who is thinking about this activity should do it, we had the best time and experience. Thank you again.

    Esperienza da non perdere

The cooking course with Kadek was the best experience I had in Bali. Kadek and his staff make you feel like family, you learn about cooking, traditions and above all you have fun from the first moment. I recommend it to anyone who comes to ubud. I would also like to specify that it is definitely not one of those tourist experiences, but a sincere and characteristic one.

It was not 'good' but 'perfect'

I really appreciated the ethos behind this project. The young guys brought a lot of fun to the experience but they also knew how to cook 😁

    Delicious food; beautiful setting.

This is a very interesting 'hands on' experience, in a beautiful farm setting, the instructors were engaging. All up a fabulous day.

A fun, energetic celebration of Balinese food and culture

We've traveled the world, taking a good number of cooking classes in different countries. This class was by far the best we've experienced! We learned so much about their cooperative farming effort, and we even harvested some of our ingredients! Our team of instructors and support folks were very enthusiastic! They were delightful and affirming of everyone in our group at every stage of the meal prep! This was a fun and energetic celebration of Balinese food and culture!

How much does Authentic Farm-to-Table Balinese Cooking Class in Ubud with Kadek cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Authentic Farm-to-Table Balinese Cooking Class in Ubud with Kadek take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.

Is Authentic Farm-to-Table Balinese Cooking Class in Ubud with Kadek worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Authentic Farm-to-Table Balinese Cooking Class in Ubud with Kadek?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Authentic Farm-to-Table Balinese Cooking Class in Ubud with Kadek suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Authentic Farm-to-Table Balinese Cooking Class in Ubud with Kadek?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Authentic Farm-to-Table Balinese Cooking Class in Ubud with Kadek start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
