An Unforgettable Desert Adventure – The Highlight of Our Egypt Trip

My first trip to Egypt has been full of unforgettable experiences, but this was easily my favourite. My girlfriend and I were picked up directly from our hotel and driven in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to the safari centre. From the beginning, our guide, photographer and the rest of the team were incredibly welcoming, hospitable and attentive. They provided plenty of water, answered all our questions and gave us a thorough safety briefing. We were also lucky enough to have the experience to ourselves, which made it feel even more special. We then set off across the desert by ATV, which was fantastic fun. The team kept a close eye on us throughout to make sure we were safe and comfortable. At the Bedouin village, we watched traditional bread-making, browsed a small local market without any hassle, and learned about Bedouin life from our brilliant guide. We also took a short camel ride, and I was particularly pleased to see how well the animals appeared to be treated. They were never struck, were given breaks and seemed genuinely respected - something that mattered a lot to us. Afterwards, we travelled to a small camp at the foot of the mountains. Following a short hike to enjoy the scenery, we were served a delicious traditional breakfast. My only regret is that we didn’t eat more! We then rode back across the desert to the safari centre, bringing an incredible experience to an end. I cannot recommend this trip enough, particularly for travellers who care about responsible and ethical tourism. Beyond that, racing across the Egyptian desert on an ATV is simply brilliant fun, and we both had a fantastic time. A huge thank you to our guide, who constantly checked that we were comfortable while sharing fascinating insights throughout the day, and to our photographer, who honestly stole the show! At £50 per person for almost six hours of adventure, culture and unforgettable memories, this was exceptional value. If you’re visiting the Red Sea area, I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a go. :)

Authentic Bedouin Safari with Quads, Camels & Storytelling: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.

How much does Authentic Bedouin Safari with Quads, Camels & Storytelling cost?

    +

Prices start at $51 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Authentic Bedouin Safari with Quads, Camels & Storytelling take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.

Is Authentic Bedouin Safari with Quads, Camels & Storytelling worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Authentic Bedouin Safari with Quads, Camels & Storytelling?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Authentic Bedouin Safari with Quads, Camels & Storytelling suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Authentic Bedouin Safari with Quads, Camels & Storytelling?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Authentic Bedouin Safari with Quads, Camels & Storytelling start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hurghada?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada Diving Adventure one Day with two Dives Boat Trip, Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Hurghada Scuba Diving Full Day Boat Trip With Lunch & Transfer. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hurghada?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hurghada?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
