Our dinner before the concert was beautifully presented in the Grand Hotel with excellent service. The concert hall was a 5 minute stroll and the event was very enjoyable. Our seating was not quite what we expected as it was a side view of the orchestra and not particularly comfortable however the programme was fun

A Lovely Evening

I was a little nervous booking this experience because it is expensive and not all reviews were positive, especially about the food. However, our experience was very good. I would definitely recommend. Because we went on a Monday, the restaurant that usually hosts the meal was not open. We instead were directed to the restaurant in the lobby. It was confusing, but once we were settled, everything went smoothly. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We were given a beef soup, choice of fish or schnitzel and a chocolate apricot dessert. The schnitzel was amazing and the portion was huge! The dessert was divine! I had read that there was an upcharge for everything, but we were only charged for wine and a soda. They did not charge for the bread or tap water. Such a good meal! The concert was a short walk away. I paid for A seats, so we were in the 9th row. The seats were good. The orchestra was wonderful. The soprano was amazing! They played a lot of familiar pieces as well as some lovely arias from Mozart operas. As an opera fan, I loved that they did the Papageno duet, which is a favorite. On the way out, we were given a Mozartkugel, which was a nice touch. Only 4 stars from me, however. I took off one for the minor issues, such as the confusion with the restaurant and the dress code. Our email said no shorts, jeans or sneakers. We took that seriously and packed appropriately. There were people all over that concert I shorts and sneakers - even someone in jean shorts. There is either a dress code or there isn't.

Bad seats arrangement.

The dinner is ok but there was £10 charge for water. The concert is amazing but the seats were terrible at row 1 just below the stage and couldn’t see the performance at all. The value for the terrible seats arrangement was truly disappointing.

Overpriced dinner and Mozart concert package

3 courses dinner was average, nothing special and they charge €10 for one water bottle. Mozart concert was kind of good, however we paid for category A tickets but the seats were lousy so experience was not matched the expectations.

5 star concert

Concert is 5 star, restuarant meal is OK but does not match billing and impression the hotel gives upon entry. Concert Conductor a real character. Female vocalist amazing.
