Sobering and important but a bit rushed and added facilities inadequate.

This was booked way in advance but the confirmation messages were not easily received the day before as we were limiting phone network use and internet was not used for contact. Then there were mixed messages about pick up times. To their credit the company did answer our anxious enquiries late the night before. The guest numbers were double the size advertised and the group had to be split up. The facilities at both camps were wholly inadequate for the numbers of visitors with long queues for insufficient toilets and only one coffee machine in the cafe at Auschwitz and one coffee tent on the walk to Birkenau (though the pace was too fast to stop for any drinks or book store anyway) The 10 minutes between the two visits for loos was insufficient with the queues on the day. Advice would be - keep fluids to a minimum (!) and wear excellent shoes for the uneven ground. If you have mobility needs, avoid the group tours - they go too fast and don’t wait. Older guests were clearly struggling. That said the tour guide was excellent - very knowledgeable and conveyed passion for his subject. The culture and mood of the tour was respectful and (perhaps helpfully) factual and a little detached. Could the museums provide a place for reflection? I’m sure it would be appreciated. An important visit even you do feel like herded cattle…

Highly recommended for a full day tour.

We were a group of 5 (4 adults and a teen) and this tour met everything we needed as our day 2 of a weekend break - definitely recommend this way of visiting Auschwitz - be aware you'll need to be able to walk quite a distance. The booking and confirmation process was smooth and all arrangements were confirmed the day prior by our guide Igor by phone message. We opted for the packed lunch offer which was a good plan and decent for the price as the timing of the visit doesn't allow time to buy refreshments - you eat either in or next to the van during the quite short break between the two sites. The tour of both sites was very well organised and it is all by group guides that lead you around, you can't visit at your own pace due to a 1 way system and managing numbers of people passing along quite small passages. The impact and visuals are not diminished by that and the audio commentary is needed as there isn't a lot written - although some parts need no explanation of course - be prepared to be affected by what you hear and see. Overall Igor (who was our guide throughout - both as driver and as audio tour guide) was super friendly, informative and helpful). He answered all our questions both practical and historical with impeccable English. Be prepared for approx 7 hrs door to door, with a couple of brief toilet stops and a lot of time on your feet - much of it outside. I'd highly recommend this tour with Igor. It delivered on our expectations and we wouldn't have done it any other way on reflection. That said, if you struggle to walk or to follow an audio tour for an extended time, the reduced scope half day option might suit better. Worth shopping around to know what you get for your money and this one felt worth it. Others were way more pricy but I cant see how they would have given more value than what we got.

Auschwitz Trip From Krakow - English Speaking Guided Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.

How much does Auschwitz Trip From Krakow - English Speaking Guided Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $68 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Auschwitz Trip From Krakow - English Speaking Guided Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.

Is Auschwitz Trip From Krakow - English Speaking Guided Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 54 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Auschwitz Trip From Krakow - English Speaking Guided Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Auschwitz Trip From Krakow - English Speaking Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Auschwitz Trip From Krakow - English Speaking Guided Tour?

    +

Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Auschwitz Trip From Krakow - English Speaking Guided Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krakow?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krakow?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krakow?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
