An unforgettable day tour of beautiful New Zealand that exceeded our expectations!

This was a long day with no regrets! Our family of 5 booked a private tour from Auckland to Rotorua Te Puia with Hangi buffet and then drove to see the Waitomo Glow Worms Cave. We loved it all. Our guide, Doug, met us right outside the port of our cruise ship and was amazing! We had plenty to talk about throughout the day. He personalized our trip with a few extra stops along the way to stretch, shop, take pictures and see some highlights. He took some pictures for us, provided umbrellas when it rained and joined us for a quick take away dinner at our request. Te Puia was great and the Glow Worms Cave tour was amazing!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this — it really sounds like a special day for your family. We’re so glad everything came together so well, especially with Doug meeting you right at the port and looking after you from start to finish. Those little personal touches — extra stops, photos, umbrellas, and even grabbing dinner together — are what make a long day feel relaxed and enjoyable. It’s wonderful to hear how much you loved Te Puia and the glowworm caves, and that the whole experience felt worth it with no regrets. Thank you for trusting us with your family’s day — we’re really happy we could be part of such a memorable experience for you.
