Misleading Pricing, Rude Customer Service, and Completely Unprofessional Behavior

I was part of a group of three who booked an ATV excursion, and what should have been a fun vacation experience turned into a complete disappointment. Our group paid $240 upfront, only to learn the night before our excursion that an additional $80 payment would be required upon arrival. This charge was not clearly communicated during booking, and we were only notified after the cancellation deadline had passed. What made the situation even worse was the operator’s attitude. When concerns were raised about the unexpected charge and the inability to cancel, instead of addressing the issue professionally, he became dismissive, blamed the customer, and ultimately responded with a laughing emoji. Laughing at a customer who has a legitimate concern about pricing and a refund is beyond unprofessional. It demonstrates a complete lack of respect for the people supporting your business. We ultimately decided not to participate. No excursion is worth dealing with that level of disrespect. I strongly encourage other tourists to be cautious before booking with this company. Confirm every charge in writing, understand the cancellation policy, and don’t assume the price you pay online is the final price. Transparent pricing and basic customer service should not be too much to ask. There are plenty of other excursion operators who would appreciate your business and treat you with respect. Spend your money elsewhere.

Disappointing Experience – Hidden Fees and Poor Customer Service

I booked an ATV riding excursion online for myself and two friends, paying $240 with the understanding that this was the total cost for our group. However, the night before our scheduled excursion, I received a WhatsApp message informing me that we would need to pay an additional $80 on-site. This additional charge was not clearly communicated during the booking process, and the timing of the notification was particularly frustrating because we were already within the 24-hour cancellation window. When I raised my concerns, rather than offering a reasonable explanation or attempting to resolve the issue, the operator responded rudely, insisted the fee had been clearly stated, blamed me for the misunderstanding, and informed me that I could not cancel. My biggest concern is not simply the additional fee, but the lack of transparency and professionalism. Any additional charges should be clearly disclosed before payment, not communicated at the last minute when customers no longer have the opportunity to cancel or choose another provider. Ultimately, we decided not to participate in the excursion. What should have been an enjoyable experience turned into an unnecessary frustration before it even began. I would not recommend booking with this operator. Poor communication, unexpected fees, and dismissive customer service are not acceptable business practices. Travelers deserve transparent pricing and the opportunity to make informed decisions before committing their money.

    The tour itself was...

The tour itself was great, and we really enjoyed the experience. However, the communication and customer service leading up to the tour were very disappointing. The pricing through Viator was not communicated clearly. We were initially told the cost was $270, only to be contacted the day before the tour and told that an additional $260 was still owed. That is a significant additional amount that should have been clearly communicated from the beginning. The full price of the tour, including any remaining balance that will be due, needs to be disclosed upfront and clearly communicated before tickets or confirmations are sent. Customers should not be surprised with an additional charge the day before their scheduled tour. Great tour overall, but the communication and transparency regarding pricing definitely need improvement.

    Great couple travel

It was great and peaceful... we had a great host/Driver, who made sure we made it to our destination. Thanks you again for the great food and adventure around Jamaica. P.s WE had a great drive who was very entertaining and informed us a lot about Jamaican? We greatly appreciate the knowledge. This was a great trip, nothing was wasted. We highly appreciate everything.

Response from the operator: Hi, we’re delighted to know you guys enjoyed the experience. It was our pleasure being able to accommodate you, we hope to do so again soon. All the best and take care. One love Denard!

    Best tour guide

Whole experience was awesome. We had a great time talking with Shane on our way to the excursions and going back to the hotel. Getting in contact with him was super easy which helped a lot when it came to getting picked up. Everyone was so friendly and food was amazing!!! We were delighted when they asked us what piece of the chicken we prefer. Whole trip felt super peaceful and festive as we relaxed on the bamboo raft and headed to the bar. We wouldve preferred more time in the cafe since we didn’t get to explore the whole thing but we had a blast jumping off the cliffs and taking pictures.

Response from the operator: Hey Dana, thank you for the lovely feedback. It’s our pleasure to have accommodated you guys and we’re happy you a lot of fun on your first experience of Jamaica. We look forward to future bookings from you and you will even have a better experience!! Take care! One love!

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
