Wyoming guys trip review

Bryan was just great and the trip was as advertised. My buddies and I had a blast. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for some activity with great pictures and smiles all around. I read the reviews too and was skeptical. But so glad that we did it!!!!

Great experience

We had a very nice experience driving the quadbikes with our children on the way to the Pacaya Volcano. We drove until a safe distance, where we could have a great view of it and have some fun on the way and many photos and videos... Brian, our guide in this adventure, was very helpful and responsible all the way. For us, with kids, it was a much better option than the trekking.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re delighted to hear that the Pacaya ATV adventure was a great option for your family and that everyone, especially the kids, had fun along the way. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Brian

GREAT ATV TOUR AND SERVICE

MUY BUEN Servicio !! Great Experience. Everything was arrange from the Turisteando Team. I was in touch with them a few days in advance and we coordinate the Pick up at the Hotel, originally there was a confusion with the date and number of persons but was quickly fixed . From Antigua to Volcan Pacaya was a good 2 hrs . Then we arrive to the town where the ATV local company was located . ATV's were in Great condition. We got a Super Nice , GREAT Tour guide . There was no-one else in the group so it was like a private tour. Once we finish the bus was waiting for us and took us bwck to Antigua. Great and Fun experience!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re very happy to hear you had a great experience and that everything was coordinated smoothly for your tour. We truly appreciate your patience with the initial confusion and are glad we could resolve it quickly.

Spectacular tour with Bryan – 5 stars ⭐

The tour was spectacular thanks to our guide Bryan. We explored the lake and then the slopes of the volcano, learning about the history of the most important eruptions. The explanations were very interesting and made the whole experience even more special. The driver could improve a bit, but overall it was an amazing tour and definitely deserves 5 stars.

Response from the operator: Thank you for rating this experience. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour, Bryan's company and explanations. Thank you very much for your honest feedback

Fun at first, then a dangerous accident and poor response!

I booked an ATV off road volcano tour through Viator. The scenery was beautiful and the experience started out enjoyable. Unfortunately, I had a serious accident that highlighted major safety gaps. I was paired with a very young guide and did not receive the level of instruction or hazard warnings you would expect for a high risk activity. When we entered the volcano area, the pace increased, but there were no clear warnings about dangerous sections or guidance on how to navigate them. I crashed into a ravine and fell with the ATV. The wheel came down on me. This could have been life threatening. I was lucky to avoid major breaks, but I was injured and shaken. I also had a bleeding cut on my ring finger. Water was poured on it, but there was no bandage available and no proper first aid kit at the camp. They used a napkin. A stocked emergency kit should be standard on an ATV tour. What concerned me most was the post accident response. Instead of arranging a safe return for me, I was told I was “fine” and I was expected to drive the ATV back myself. At camp, when I asked if I should see a doctor, I was discouraged from getting checked and felt rushed onto the shuttle. The shuttle driver was the one who urged me to go to a clinic and get x rays. I went to a private clinic and spent 2,180 quetzales total: 1,790 for x rays and the emergency consult plus 390 for prescriptions. It became a very expensive accident. I understand off roading comes with calculated risk, and I take responsibility for choosing an adventure activity. But better safety communication, proper first aid supplies, and a clear injury protocol would have made a big difference. I recommend the operator strengthen training and supervision, provide clear hazard briefings, control speed expectations, carry real first aid kits, and treat injuries with more caution rather than minimizing concerns.

Response from the operator: Hi Nidia, First of all, I want to sincerely apologize for what you experienced. I can only imagine how frightening that moment must have been for you, especially having the ATV fall on you and not knowing the extent of your injuries. I’m truly sorry that your adventure turned into such a stressful and painful situation. ATV tours do carry inherent risk, and while we always provide detailed instructions on how to operate the vehicles, including a practice portion on paved roads before entering off-road terrain, I understand that in the moment of an accident, what matters most is how safe and supported you feel. The initial section of the ride is specifically designed so participants can get comfortable with the ATV and so guides can assess each rider’s ability before proceeding into more challenging terrain. That said, we deeply regret that despite these measures, this accident occurred. Regarding first aid, there is a first aid kit available at the camp, and the woman who assisted you is indeed a licensed nurse. She treated and cleaned your wounds immediately. However, I completely understand your concern about the lack of a visible bandage and how that may have made you feel that the situation was not handled with the seriousness it deserved. Your perception in that moment is very important to us. You are absolutely right that, after such an accident, being asked to drive the ATV back could feel intimidating and unsafe. Even if the injury appeared minor at first glance, your emotional state and confidence after the crash should have been considered more carefully. I also understand your concern about feeling rushed due to the shuttle schedule. While the team was trying to manage timing for all guests, that should never outweigh a participant’s well-being. We genuinely appreciate you pointing out the areas where we can improve; clearer hazard briefings, stronger emphasis on speed control, more visible first aid readiness, and a more cautious injury protocol. Your feedback is being taken seriously and shared with the local team so that training and supervision can be reinforced. We are truly sorry that this happened to you, and we’re relieved that your injuries were not more severe. We appreciate your honesty and the responsibility you’ve taken in acknowledging the nature of the activity, and we also recognize our responsibility to continuously improve safety standards. Wishing you a full and smooth recovery.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Antigua.

How much does ATV Off Road Adventure at Pacaya Volcano from Antigua cost?

+

Prices start at $91 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Antigua usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does ATV Off Road Adventure at Pacaya Volcano from Antigua take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Antigua is not rushed.

Is ATV Off Road Adventure at Pacaya Volcano from Antigua worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Antigua, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule ATV Off Road Adventure at Pacaya Volcano from Antigua?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is ATV Off Road Adventure at Pacaya Volcano from Antigua suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book ATV Off Road Adventure at Pacaya Volcano from Antigua?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Antigua can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Antigua and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does ATV Off Road Adventure at Pacaya Volcano from Antigua start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Antigua within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Antigua?

+

On Outty we rank every Antigua experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Antigua ATV Sunset Tour, Authentic Guatemalan Cooking Class in Antigua, Antigua ATV Coffee Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Antigua?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Antigua?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
