Sunburned, soaked, and dusty, an ATV adventure to reccomend.

For my 60th birthday and my sons 25th birthday we booked a trip to the hot springs and I can't reccomend it enough. The trip starts in the city with a good few mile drive along the city as you head towards the outskirts and make one last stop for drinks and snacks. After that stop the travel is on a dirt and gravel path with a significant amount of distance being on a bumpy road with plenty of beautiful sights and mountains surrounding the road. After the dusty dirt path you arrive at the mountain springs where the mountains overlook a campsite and multiple pools for relaxing. The natural springs have been formed into pools, each at different temperatures which meant that there was plenty of options for comfort. Additional amenities were a small store for snacks, and facilities for changing. After about an hour there swimming was a call to packup and then make the drive back to the shop in reverse with a stop for tacos along the way before heading back. Overall the trip was incredible, approachable, and well managed for an off the beaten path experience. The ATV's were easy to drive and for a first timer like my son he picked up on it very well. He and I both wish that there was a bit more trail work and mountain climbing on the route but it was still absolutely beautiful in the valleys with the peaks rising around the trail. The dust was a bit much but it was a dry season so I would plan accordingly if you visit. The springs were absolutely stunning, the mountains around tower around the pools in the valley, the fairy lights are a nice touch and the pools were so comfortable. It was a good remote location as well so it was not very busy, plenty of space, and very relaxed. As a note, the tour does not pay for the hot springs, it's an additional on site charge. We both got pretty sunburned as well, do bring sunscreen and take care of yourself. Overall an amazing trip and highly recommended, just pack some sunscreen and be ready to get dusty.

Response from the operator: Hi Alvin, sorry to hear the sun got you good! Yes the trail is a bit bumpy but that’s what makes a great adventure. Overall we’re happy to hear your ATV experience to the hot water springs was not a waste of your time and you had a blast. Best regards Emilio

ATV Hot Water Springs Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ensenada.

How much does ATV Hot Water Springs Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $171 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ensenada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does ATV Hot Water Springs Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ensenada is not rushed.

Is ATV Hot Water Springs Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ensenada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule ATV Hot Water Springs Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is ATV Hot Water Springs Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 15. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book ATV Hot Water Springs Tour?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ensenada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ensenada and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does ATV Hot Water Springs Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ensenada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ensenada?

+

On Outty we rank every Ensenada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guadalupe Valley Wine Route Tour in Baja California, Couple Tour, Private Wine Tour at Valle de Guadalupe (A wine tasting included).. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ensenada?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ensenada?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
