Magical Sounion
This exquisite tour at the ancient Temples of Poseidon at cape Sounion, and the ancient silver mines and open theater at nerby picturesque port of Lavrion, l would definitely recommend it! The view from the temple of the big blue Aegean sea is breathtaking and the narration about ancient king Aegeas father of Thiseas, who gave his name to the sea is also stunning. Our guide, knowledgeable, funny and friendly, unveiled to us along with stories from ancient Greek history and mythology, all little secrets from local wines to delicious seafood -and not only- plates of the greek cuisine, so that we can enjoy every moment of our excursion. Not to mention the scenic, full of mystery volcano lake of Vouliagmeni (communicating via undergroung passages and currents with the sea) he took us to have a refreshing swim and relax. My business partners had a wonderful time in this daily escape, they completely loved the sceneries and all the activities of this well organized trip. Just give it a try!
