They no-showed and didn't reply to any calls or messages

Ignored my messages on the day and then I waited around for 30mins, my calls just went to voicemail. Viator couldn't contact them either and eventually had to refund me. It was annoying as I only had an afternoon free in Athens so I missed out on my one chance for sightseeing.

Response from the operator: Hi ,we are very sorry for the misunderstanding, we have canceled one day before the tour because of the bad weather and refund you the money . We also have send you a message one day before but you didnt answered. thank you

    Bikes were a bunch of...

Bikes were a bunch of different types with different capabilities. Throttle only, peddle assist, intermittment electric etc. Some had very fat tires that made them difficult to turn short radius. Streets, sidewalks and paths we used were too crowded to have bikes on them in addition to all the pedestrians. My wife and another fell off their bikes trying to navigate thru the crowds.

Response from the operator: Dear Joel thank your for review. Before someone book our tour he can read our Inclusions & exclusions that we use different e-bikes for all body type. The fat tyre bikes helps for the slippery roads and with the throttle you can navigate the bike better where the streets are too crowded . I am sorry for the crowded strrets but its the only path we can use ...Maybe next time you can choose other bike types . Thank you

    Fun on 2 wheels

We had a great time! However, we made the mistake of booking for a Sunday evening - not the best idea! Sunday nights are hectic in Athens - apparently everyone goes out for dinner so it was super busy everywhere and cycling through the crowds was very nerve-wracking! A bell on the bike would have been helpful! Overall, we had a great experience but regret forgetting to get our guide to take a pic of us on our bikes!

    Old unreliable bikes

Our tour guide was excellent — very knowledgeable about the area and took us to many interesting places. However, the bikes left a lot to be desired. They were quite old, and the external batteries were mounted rather sloppily, constantly draining and disconnecting, which meant they had to be swapped out several times. The biggest issue came when a tire blew out, forcing us to stop at the center and wait while the guide returned to the shop for a replacement bike. Unfortunately, the tour time wasn’t extended to make up for the delay, which was disappointing.

Response from the operator: Dear our bikes are the most new and we use most fatbikes we bought the last 2 years . I understand we had a battery problem and unfortunate moment with the flat tyre . Finally we visited all sites because we skipped some roads with traffic and crowed...

    Bikes need lights at night!

First want to say that our guy Constantinos was excellent! So informative, fun and really in tune with the needs of our small private group. we saw some awesome sites and bike tours are always a great way to see a city!! That being said, the only reason I gave it 3 stars is because it was a night bike tour and our bikes had no lights on them. We’ve done night bike tours before and I know what a difference it makes… There were some areas that were so dark. It was downright dangerous to drive without lights. Hoping the owner of the tour reads this and makes changes…I’d be happy to change my review because everything else was great.

Response from the operator: Dear Stephnee thank you for your review. All bikes have a light , have tou asked the guide how you can turn the lights on ?

Athens Tour with Electric Bike: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Athens Tour with Electric Bike cost?

    +

Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Athens Tour with Electric Bike take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Athens Tour with Electric Bike worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 97 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Athens Tour with Electric Bike?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Athens Tour with Electric Bike suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Athens Tour with Electric Bike?

    +

Around 34 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Athens Tour with Electric Bike start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
