      There are six monasteries worth visiting. The Kastraki village which has been marked as a preservable traditional settlement, is suitable for wondering around. Of great interest is also the cave of Theopetra, a huge rock where there are human imprints dating 130.000years back.

The main cathedral was founded at the end of the 16th century and was decorated thirty years later.       The Monastery of St. Varlaam is an Eastern Orthodox monastery that is part of the Meteora monastery complex in Thessaly, central Greece. It is situated at the top of a rocky precipice that is 373 metres above the valley floor. The Dragon Cave is located to the south, below the monastery.
