This was such a unique...
This was such a unique experience and definitely something I wouldn’t have thought to do in Athens. What made it even more special was hearing about the generations of the family who have been involved in sculpting and art. You could really feel the history and passion behind the craft. Mateo was a fantastic instructor. He was patient, encouraging, and made the experience fun regardless of your artistic ability. Not everyone in our group was naturally artistic, but everyone still had a great time and left with something they could be proud of. It was also really cool learning about the family's work on Assassin’s Creed and seeing the connection between their traditional craftsmanship and modern entertainment. And the wine cellar area was an unexpected surprise and added another layer to the experience. It was a really cool setting for something that felt both educational and hands-on. If you're looking for something different from the typical Athens sightseeing experience, I highly recommend this. You get to learn about Greek art and craftsmanship, try sculpting yourself, hear some incredible family history, and have a genuinely fun experience along the way.

Highlight of the trip!!
This was one of the highlights of my trip to Athens. The pottery class was relaxed, fun, and welcoming from start to finish. We got to sculpt our own little heads, which was a really unique and creative experience, even for complete beginners. The host was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout the session. They took the time to explain each step, offered guidance whenever needed, and created a friendly atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable. If you’re looking for a memorable, hands-on activity in Athens, I would highly recommend this pottery workshop. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It means a lot to hear that our sculpting workshop was one of the highlights of your trip to Athens. We are delighted that you enjoyed creating your own sculpture and that the experience felt welcoming, relaxing, and enjoyable from beginning to end. Helping guests discover their creativity, regardless of previous experience, is one of our greatest joys. Your kind words about the guidance and atmosphere truly mean a lot to us. Thank you for choosing to spend part of your time in Athens with us. We hope your sculpture will always remind you of your visit, and we would love to welcome you back to the Ancient Symposium for another creative experience in the future!

This was so fun and...
This was so fun and relaxing! I highly recommend this for groups of friends and couples! We aren’t artistic but we’re able to create adorable sculptures.

Thoroughly absorbing activity
Really interesting thing to do, I'm not experienced at all but managed to turn out a piece of clay sculpture to take home under the tutor's guidance. Great surroundings and a little explanation of the history and context before we began. The time passed very swiftly! Definitely recommend

Master artist, teacher, and guide!
This experience—learning how to make a Hermes mask with Manos, a master artist—was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece. It was fun, funny, relaxing, and memorable, and it resulted in our best souvenirs. We all discovered that we need more art-making in our lives. And I am not only referring to the Hermes masks we made, but also the original jewelry we bought there as well. I HIGHLY recommend this for your next trip to Athens! Ευχαριστώ, Μανος!
Response from the operator: Justin you are amazing thank you so much and I hope to see you again in the future.

Why this scores 75
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Athens: Sculpt Your Greek Masterpiece Workshop: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Athens: Sculpt Your Greek Masterpiece Workshop cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Athens: Sculpt Your Greek Masterpiece Workshop take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Athens: Sculpt Your Greek Masterpiece Workshop worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Athens: Sculpt Your Greek Masterpiece Workshop?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Athens: Sculpt Your Greek Masterpiece Workshop suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Athens: Sculpt Your Greek Masterpiece Workshop?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Athens: Sculpt Your Greek Masterpiece Workshop start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
