Absolutely terrible experience. One of the worst tours I have ever booked.
The organisation was a complete mess from the very beginning. There was no properly organised meeting point whatsoever. Our group consisted of 11 people, and literally every single party had to call the guide individually to find out where we were actually supposed to meet. That alone says everything about the level of organisation. And then the guide arrived far too late. When I called him after meeting time, because I could not find him, he was not yet there. As if that wasn’t chaotic enough, another group was also late because the meeting point they had been given led them to a completely different location on Google Maps. This was not a minor misunderstanding. The entire start of the tour was unnecessarily chaotic and stressful. The guide himself was probably the biggest disappointment. He was extremely unmotivated, visibly uninterested and completely lacking enthusiasm. There was no sense that he actually wanted to be there or that he cared about giving the group a good experience. His explanations were delivered without any energy and were at times confusing and difficult to follow. It felt like he was simply going through the motions and waiting for the tour to be over. For a tour advertised as a sunset experience at the Acropolis, I expected at least some enthusiasm, organisation and genuine interest in the history and location. Instead, the whole experience felt rushed, poorly managed and completely impersonal. The Acropolis itself is spectacular, and the sunset was beautiful. But that had absolutely nothing to do with the quality of this tour. For what was charged, this was an embarrassingly poor experience. I would absolutely not book this tour again and cannot recommend it. Save your money and visit the Acropolis on your own. You will probably have a much better experience.
