    Tour of Athens was Incredible

Our tour in Athens, Greece was a wonderful experience! Andreas was our driver. He was very knowledgeable about the city and all the historical sites. We were allowed to stop at the sites we wanted to stop at and he waited patiently while we toured each site. Andreas was very friendly and was an excellent guide. I would definitely recommend him and his company for touring Athens!!

    Great company to work with!

Absolutely wonderful! Ended up working with Marina to book a bunch of other tours through them and an airport transfer. Extremely kind, knowledgeable, on time and helpful with everything! Highly recommend!

Great tour and still had half the day for ourselves

Great tour with Andreas our tour guide. He drove us everywhere and was knowledgeable about all the sites and Athens in general. They pre-ordered tickets for us at the acropolis which saved us time. We spent over an hour there and he also drove us to the Olympic stadium, the changing of the guard at the presidential residence and even took us to center city which is very vibrant for the best gyros on our trip from the gyros project! He went above and beyond and I would highly recommend this tour and we still had half the day for ourselves!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a great experience with Andreas and enjoyed exploring Athens with him. It means a lot that you appreciated the tour and his efforts—we hope to welcome you again in the future! Kings regards, Konstantinos

Fantastic half-day tour of the Athens “must-sees.”

Great half-day tour which included changing of the guard at the presidential palace, ancient stadium which became the Olympic stadium, statues, Acropolis Museum, Acropt, and more. Guide (Nick) did not go into the museum or up to the Acropolis with us but gave us a thorough orientation before we went. We kept up with him via What’s App, and he met us promptly when we finished at each attraction. As an extra, he picked us up at the Piraeus port at our ship (Viking Vesta) and did not charge us extra for this! Nick is very knowledgeable, and was extremely polite and friendly to spend the day with.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing our Athens half-day tour! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed visiting the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, and the city’s most iconic landmarks. It’s great to know that the experience met your expectations and that the organization of the tour worked smoothly for you. We’re also glad that the communication and coordination with Nick throughout the day made everything easy and enjoyable. Wishing you many more wonderful travels!

Athens:Half day tour to Acropolis and the must-see historical sites and downtown: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Athens:Half day tour to Acropolis and the must-see historical sites and downtown cost?

    +

Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Athens:Half day tour to Acropolis and the must-see historical sites and downtown take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Athens:Half day tour to Acropolis and the must-see historical sites and downtown worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 75 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Athens:Half day tour to Acropolis and the must-see historical sites and downtown?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Athens:Half day tour to Acropolis and the must-see historical sites and downtown suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Athens:Half day tour to Acropolis and the must-see historical sites and downtown?

    +

Around 26 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Athens:Half day tour to Acropolis and the must-see historical sites and downtown start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
