Temple of Poseidon

Cape Sounion is only 45 miles (70 kilometers) from Athens, making it the perfect lazy afternoon tour destination. Your expert archaeologist escort will dive you into the history, the myths and the legends of the temple which was built here in 44 B.C. on a hilltop overlooking the sea. Great full day experience
Anastasia and eirini k ( I’m so sorry if I got the names wrong g) were amazing tour guides. So patient and informative. I loved how Anastasia brought us into the story to feel like we were apart of it. It was a really hot day so it would have been nice to have the bus air a little cooler but we had fans so it worked out.

Awesome and informative
Irene K was amazing, super knowledgeable and energetic. She has a deep understanding of history, and is very kind. Kept us at a good pace so we could see everything. She also took us to a great local spot for lunch.

Good for a solo traveler...
Good for a solo traveler to join a group. The drive to Temple of Poseidon is a bit over an hour. If you have limited time, it may be best to stay in Athens.
