BE CAREFUL using TripWel in Athens - UNRELIABLE
BECAREFUL using Tripwel in Athens for a ride, they are UNRELIABLE and a SCAM company. I booked a ride for one person for $60 with them from the airport to my hotel a week ago and gave them my Airline, flight information and specific contact instructions. I even tried to contact them twice before I flew and never heard from them. Upon arriving in Athens airport after 16 hours of overnight travel, still no contact, no driver, nothing. After me having to contact them to find out where they were, they gave me the run around. I called them back a half hour later and they now tell me I have to wait another hour AND I would be joining another group (not even kidding). In this conversation the TripWel person on the phone offered no apology, talked over me, offered no discount and no refund. So I had to find and take a cab, causing me to miss a tour of Athens that afternoon. Like I said earlier they are a SCAM company and UNRELIABLE so BR CAREFUL in using them.

Fast efficient and friendly
Our driver was waiting for us in the arrival hall holding our names on a sign. It was a quick walk to the van. The driver put on some great music that we listened to until our stop. Helped us with our bags and wished us a great stay.

Mediocre Experience. Disappointing Service.
The driver was late to collect us at the airport. He did not provide service to the door. The driver gave a few excuses for being late but I was not convinced of the truth of these statements. Finally, the driver did not meet us at the arrivals hall. Instead, he told us to meet him outside across the street with our bags. Very disappointing service.
Response from the operator: Maybe you posted this review to the wrong business since the driver meet you at the airport, you put the wrong hotel in the System and you didn't know about it (3 hotels in Athens with the identical name) and the driver dropped you at the correct one as advised you to check your reservation address. So in our part, we served you to the maximum since the driver also gave you insights about the city and a small tour along the way. We hope to rethink your review if it was intended for us and point out the good experience you got from our company.

Dependable, professional, and economical ground transfers!
We (family of 4) recently returned from a trip to Greece (Athens and Sifnos: June 2021) and I highly recommend TripWel for ground transfers to and from ATH airport as well as Piraeus (the port to the Islands). Given the COVID restrictions, (taxis are all sedans and passengers are limited to just the back seats), we had to book our transfers using a private van. I researched a number of companies and TripWel proved to be the most responsive and best-priced option. All of the vans were new, clean, and the drivers were professional and engaging. I was able to book all 4 transfers in advance (airport-Athens, Athens-port, port-Athens, Athens-airport). Beyond the prices, the company was very responsive (use WhatsApp) and provided constant updates for each pick-up, including a 4am pick-up for our departure. I was very impressed with the level of service and confidently recommend this company for your ground transfers. I believe you can also arrange private tours/day-trips to other locations. I will certainly use this company on my next visit.
