Visit to Abu Simbel
Long ride to the famous Abu Simbel Temple but it was worth it to see how thousand years of history and heritage was moved to keep it for many more years to come. But do prepare for the journey there though there will be stop over to stretch the legs and go for toilet break (which charges 20egp per person for info).

Abu Simbel & Philae ride.
I was late for my tour because my train from Cairo to Aswan was 5 hours late. The driver decided that he will not wait for me due to other clients waiting. I informed the tour organizer & she offered me a private car for 50 euros. I guess it’s a reasonable price considering the long distance from Aswan to Abu Simbel. I think it’s a 4 hours drive totally from Abu Simbel to Aswan train station with 1-2 rest stop along the way. Overall experience was totally worth it. Recommended.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience 🙏 We truly appreciate your understanding. Just to clarify, as this was a shared tour with a fixed schedule and other guests already booked, the driver wasn’t able to wait beyond the agreed time in order to avoid affecting the rest of the group’s experience. However, we completely understood your situation with the train delay, which was beyond your control. That’s why we offered you a private car as a special arrangement, to make sure you wouldn’t miss the experience. This was not about taking advantage of the situation, but about finding the best possible solution for you. We’re really glad everything worked out well in the end and that you enjoyed your trip. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to see you again soon in Egypt 🇪🇬✨ :

Wonderful trip, minor FYIs
We had a great time travelling to Abu Simbel. The taxi was easy to arrange and adjust. They stopped at a cafe both ways to break up the journey. The ride itself was comfortable, with a modern car with AC. Ammar who arranged the taxi was really easy to work with and very flexible. FYI for tourists. It is a standard practice for taxis going between Abu Simbel and Aswan to go off road into the desert to avoid paying a toll. Our taxi did this. Our driver also stayed far longer at the cafe than we wanted, even after we asked to leave, chatting with friends. While we travelled swiftly, this was at the expense of safety, and we frequently tail gated cars ahead with less than a foot of distance at 90 kph.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback 🙏 We’re really glad to hear that you enjoyed the overall trip to Abu Simbel, that the booking process was easy, the vehicle comfortable, and that Ammar was helpful and flexible throughout the arrangement. At the same time, we sincerely appreciate you pointing out the concerns you experienced during the journey. Safety and guest comfort are our top priorities, and what you described regarding driving behavior and stopping time at the café is not the standard we aim to provide. We take this feedback very seriously and will immediately review it with the driver to ensure that all safety rules and agreed schedules are strictly respected in future trips. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention — it helps us improve and maintain a higher standard for all our guests. We hope to have the opportunity to offer you a safer and even better experience in the future 🇪🇬✨

Abu Simbel simply amazing!
Booked car and driver to Abu Simbel...nearly 9 hours (3.5 hrs each way and had about 2 hrs to see Abu Simbel). Good, clean car and air conditioning was cold enough. Picked us up at our hotel right on time for the long drive. Driver made a couple unscheduled stops along the way for his errands but it didn't take too much time so it was fine. He was a bit on the aggressive side of driving and often passed cars, going up to 140km. On one occasion, he went up to 170km and that's when we had to ask him to slow down as it was quite dangerous and the roads aren't that good there. He obliged and remained in the 130km range after. Got to Abu Simbel and it was amazing! Such a spectacular sight, above the river and to imagine how they were able to move this temple to save it from flooding. Definitely a must visit, although we would like to have an additional hour or so to meander around the area or even have lunch in the café there; however, had limited time and it was very hot in Abu Simbel without much shade. Return drive was good and got back to our hotel safely. Overall, a good trip/tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback 🙏 We’re really glad to hear that you enjoyed the overall experience and that the visit to Abu Simbel was as spectacular as expected. It truly is one of the most impressive sites in Egypt, and we’re happy you got to experience it comfortably with a clean, air-conditioned car and punctual pickup. We also appreciate your honest comments regarding the driving behavior and additional stops. Safety is something we take very seriously, and this is not the standard we aim to provide. We will definitely review this with the driver to ensure driving limits and guest comfort are fully respected in all future trips. Regarding the timing at Abu Simbel, we understand your point about wanting more time on site — it’s a balance between distance, heat, and schedule, but your feedback is very valuable and will help us improve the experience for future guests. Thank you again for your trust and for choosing us. We’re happy you made it back safely and still had a memorable visit 🇪🇬✨
