About this experience
Explore the local craft and art (some regional to Karnataka / old Mysore state / Bangalore, and some local to India as a whole). There are a variety of such things, all the way from the typical carved souvenir, to the delicate pashmina, hand embroidered fabric, designer boutiques housing local talent, antiques, upcycled waste, handpainted fabric, jewelry etc. Customisation is normally done when the group meets the guide, and the guide spontaneously works out a program to suit everyone on board. There are times when you may be the only one signing up. But there are also times when there are others. In this case the itinerary is designed with a democratic approach.

A day to remember
When booking I had rather low expectations. However, the day tourned out to be so extremly wonderful. Although I knew the city a little bit already we covered the hidden gems and met many interesting people on the go. Tourguide Kay was very friendly, organised and adjusted to my personal liking. Her inputs and especially historical facts were just right. Other than expected no group tour. Very individual and personalized - definitely safe throughout. Thank you for a wonderful day and showing me Bangalore from its very traditional artsy side.

Good to be aware
I had booked this tour based on the description of being able to pick your programme and a couple of the items on the sample programme. This didn’t turn out to be the case and we were told that Sundays things are not open and also that we could do more if we had booked the 8 hour tour. There was no henna option or Rangoli or silk printing or astrologist! The tour was very basic, pottery town not really worth visiting in March & the palace we only saw the outside. It’s better to get a driver for a few hours price wise. The guide was really nice so don’t want this to seem like a bad reflection on him but it came across that this tour was really not a tour that should run on a Sunday as nothing was open. Poorly organised in my view.

Amazing Culture & Art Tour
I just finished an all day culture tour of Bangalore - it was incredible. My guide, D, a Bangalore native, was so knowledgeable and thoughtful in the locations we visited. She adjusted the tour as we were invited to eat at a local temple - and we had a lovely time. The dosas, temples, block printing demo, fabric store, bangles store, The Jewelry Project, washerman's village and all along lovely company. Would definitely book with this tour company again.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the trouble to write this review Your encouragement means a lot! And this testimonial makes us feel so good about what we do Please come back and we would love to show you more Will pass on your compliments to Deepti :)

Bangalore off the tourist track
Even on a day when there was a nation-wide strike, we were taken to fascinating areas of Bangalore that many tourists would never see. Most amazing and humbling was the women's empowerment project, where slum-dwelling women make shopping bags from used fruit juice boxes. An eye opener for comfortable Westerners.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Art & Craft Tour of Bangalore: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangalore.
How much does Art & Craft Tour of Bangalore cost?
+
Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangalore usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Art & Craft Tour of Bangalore take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangalore is not rushed.
Is Art & Craft Tour of Bangalore worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangalore, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Art & Craft Tour of Bangalore?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Art & Craft Tour of Bangalore suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Art & Craft Tour of Bangalore?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangalore can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangalore and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Art & Craft Tour of Bangalore start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangalore within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangalore?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangalore experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Old to New Bangalore Day Tour: Lalbagh, Temple, Market & Palace, Bangalore city tour with English guide & multi language support, Best of Mysore, UNESCO Somnathpur Temple & Srirangapatna Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangalore?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangalore?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
