Really but really beautiful Christmas markets, we visited those of Arezzo and Montepulciano. Beautiful wooden houses, plays of lights, sounds, perfumes, handicrafts and mulled wine. I found the magic of the Christmas markets that take place in northern Italy and Europe.

Arezzo Christmas Markets a real disappointment not so much for the city that was decorated illuminated very pretty but just for the organization and management but especially the very high prices... We arrived on Saturday in Arezzo in the early afternoon deposited our suitcases in the hotel that was more than three kilometers from the center we immediately went to see Piazza Grande lit up but we found out once there that the last bus ride that took us back to the hotel was at 20:26 so we had to eat in a round another the return we did it on foot with the cold and the children. You can not advertise so much of the markets if you then do not organize transport lines for people arriving by train, on Sunday 7th on Monday 8th buses did not even pass regularly and then with suitcases on foot we arrived at the station. The extraordinary thing this year was that in addition to the Christmas markets there was also the antique fair all together .. lots of people everywhere .. on the square of the fortress where there was the Ferris wheel and then the famous Santa Claus house there were all street food stands to eat .. dear But the absurd thing that there was not even a bench to sit down and then all standing between a polenta in hand a gulash and a plate of pasta. In the forecourt in front of three chemical baths for all those people endless lines for physiological needs .. even in the bars stormed .. restaurants not prepared to face all those people with kitchens often tilted. The prices for objects, mostly many kinematics, multiplied a hundred percent. In addition, the stands closed at 21.00... at the fortress endless lines for a two-minute photo with Santa Claus... 10 minutes inside a planetarium.. to see 10 minutes of projection of constellations... And all to enter you had to pay 10 euros... At these prices next time you will go to the Tyrolean markets .. which I have already visited with much more organized towns and original handmade products .. in much more suggestive places.
