Surfers Paradise Beach
The three-kilometre strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia's iconic beach, a postcard-perfect locale that conjures up 'paradise' to millions.

Main Beach
While other suburbs snatch their names from exotic Aboriginal meanings or English seaside villages, Main Beach is far more literal. Situated at the northern end of the Gold Coast, Main Beach was so named as it was the main surf beach to the town of Southport. But while its name may be obvious, its hidden gems are far more exciting for this is one of the coast's areas which celebrates something old and something new in style.

不要来!!! Absolutely not worth!!!!!
Experience:** I had never been on an amphibious vehicle before, so I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed!!!!! The entire route was very poorly planned. Basically, we just drove around an inland lake, and each passenger got to try driving the boat for a few minutes before the experience was over. There was no scenery, no real excitement, and nothing particularly unique or memorable about it. To make matters worse, the experience didn’t even last the full 1 hour as advertised. About 20 minutes were spent getting there, we only spent around 20 minutes on the water, and then we headed back. It felt incredibly rushed and far shorter than what we paid for. **2. Value for Money:** Absolutely not worth the money, and I would not recommend it at all. Compared with other activities, this one is seriously overpriced. In my opinion, the experience is worth **no more than $10**. And I’m someone who is perfectly willing to spend several hundred dollars on an activity when it’s genuinely fun and worthwhile. **3. Process & Service:** The meeting point was easy to find, but apart from that, I would say there was basically **no service at all**. The whole experience felt poorly organized and underwhelming.

We had a fun time, it was...
We had a fun time, it was interactive! :) The only thing would be that it’s a little pricey for young children, but still was great fun. Thank you

Amazing
Omg we thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Credit to Max and Gerry It was a bit hard to hear them sometimes as we had people behind us who didn’t stop talking
Response from the operator: Thank you for this wonderful review! Max and Gerry will be touched to hear it and know they were able to create an amazing experience for you, even with a little chatter going one :)

A good giggle but I want to drive!
It's a good giggle. The 2 hosts were light hearted friendly but safety conscious. My only gripe is they allowed the kids to pilot the aqueduct in the water and I wasn't allowed. Hmmfff. :-)
Response from the operator: Thanks for the review! We're so glad you had a good giggle and enjoyed the fun, friendly atmosphere onboard while appreciating our team's focus on safety. While the Junior Captain experience is reserved for our younger ducklings, we love that you were keen to take the wheel too! 😄 Thanks again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back for another quacking adventure soon! :)

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Aquaduck Gold Coast 1 hour City and River Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gold Coast.
How much does Aquaduck Gold Coast 1 hour City and River Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $48 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gold Coast usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Aquaduck Gold Coast 1 hour City and River Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gold Coast is not rushed.
Is Aquaduck Gold Coast 1 hour City and River Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 384 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Gold Coast, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Aquaduck Gold Coast 1 hour City and River Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Aquaduck Gold Coast 1 hour City and River Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Aquaduck Gold Coast 1 hour City and River Tour?
+
Around 134 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gold Coast can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gold Coast and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Aquaduck Gold Coast 1 hour City and River Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gold Coast within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Gold Coast?
+
On Outty we rank every Gold Coast experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2 Hour Ultimate Learn to Surf Adventure, Gold Coast Whale Watching Cruise, Mount Tamborine Wine Tasting Tour from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Gold Coast?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Gold Coast?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
