Your with an old friend
This was one of my favorite experiences in Jordan. Walking around Aqaba with Mohammad felt like exploring the city with an old friend. Having grown up in Aqaba, he knows the city incredibly well, and his genuine passion for sharing his home really makes the experience special and memorable. I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Aqaba.

Tour cancelled by provider
Tour cancelled by provider on basis it was too hot. We ended up walking on our own and it was fine, the heat did not bother us. I had rescheduled another hamam appointment to make way for this tour so was very disappointed as we only had a short stay in Aqaba. Makes you wonder why the tour at 11am was offered in the first place in summer when the provider was well aware of the summer temperatures.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback, and please accept our sincere apologies for the disruption to your short stay in Aqaba. We truly regret that this impacted your other plans, including your hamam appointment. To clarify, the 11:00 AM slot was left open due to a technical error where our winter schedule had not successfully updated to our summer hours. As a local business, we always prioritize our guests' comfort, which is why we reached out to offer a move to a much cooler evening slot. We completely understand that your time was limited and the switch didn't work for your itinerary, but we take your point seriously. We have manually fixed the booking system to ensure only appropriate summer hours are displayed moving forward. We are glad you were still able to enjoy your walk through Aqaba, and we wish you all the best in your travels.

The best !
Truly one of the best tours we've ever had. It felt like taking a walk with a friend. Our guide made us feel right at home, giving us insight on the culture and bringing us to many local stops according to our interests that we couldn't of discovered without him. We would recommend this tour in a heart beat to anyone travelling to Aqaba.

A truly remarkable experience
If there is one thing you should do in Aqaba, if is to do this culture and food tour with Mohammed. First, I booked this for the wrong day and he was so accommodating, letting us move our tour to the next day. Walking through Aqaba and hearing Mohammed talk about the history of Aqaba and seeing the relationships he has as he takes you from shop to shop is incredible. He truly loves his country and city and wants to share that with others. We got to try so many amazing foods and learned so much about Jordanian culture. Mohammed is truly a gem. Do this tour and thank me later.

Highly recommended walking food tour ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a great walking food tour from a local’s perspective. Mohammed was very personable and seemed to know everyone we met along the way! We got to sample a variety of local foods, from fresh fish to the famous local chip butty. Over a refreshing hibiscus tea at a local shisha bar, we asked Mohammed lots of questions about his culture and traditions, which he answered with warmth and insight. Overall, it was a fun, authentic experience, highly recommended!

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Aqaba Walking Tour : History ,Culture & Food: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Aqaba.
How much does Aqaba Walking Tour : History ,Culture & Food cost?
+
Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Aqaba usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Aqaba Walking Tour : History ,Culture & Food take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Aqaba is not rushed.
Is Aqaba Walking Tour : History ,Culture & Food worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 63 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Aqaba, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Aqaba Walking Tour : History ,Culture & Food?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Aqaba Walking Tour : History ,Culture & Food suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Aqaba Walking Tour : History ,Culture & Food?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Aqaba can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Aqaba and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Aqaba Walking Tour : History ,Culture & Food start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Aqaba within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Aqaba?
+
On Outty we rank every Aqaba experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Diving Experience in The Heart of Red Sea in Aqaba, Wadi Rum Full Day Jeep Tour + Overnight & Dinner in Bedouin Camp, Diving, Snorkeling & Leisure Cruises by Boat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Aqaba?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Aqaba?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
