Join us on a scenic journey highlighting the rustic side of the South Coast of Jamaica to visit the Appleton Estate, home of the world renowned Appleton Rum, visit this historical Appleton Rum distillery located on the picturesque South Coast of Jamaica, take a detailed tour while your guide outline the secret behind one of the world’s best tasting rum. Sample freshly pressed sugar cane juice and “wet sugar”. Immortalize your experience at our Appleton Rum large size VX sign, and then sample 10 Different types of Jamaica rum liquors. On a tour designed for you to cherish and repeat, you might complimentary bottle of rum.

Floyd's Pelican Bar
Between Treasure Beach and Black River you will be taken by a fishing boat to a rustic wooden bar built on a sand bar a quarter mile out to sea. The Pelican Bar is the perfect place to sunbathing, drinking beer, swimming and eating fresh fried fish. The Pelican Bar began as local fisherman Floyd Forbes dream of a bar built out to sea, resting on stilts. Large wooden planks were transported on his fishing boat. In 2001 the bar was completed and it was named "The Pelican Bar" after the large flocks of Pelicans who rested on the sand bank. It soon became popular by locals and tourists as a place of picture perfect serenity. Watch the beautiful sunset (weather permitting) as well as the cliff diving and listen to the Reggae Band. A perfect place to sit back, relax with a cocktail in hand. Boat ride is between 30-45 minutes but worth the travel.

Day well spent
Thank you for an incredible experience at Appleton Estate! Our guide, Shanice, was warm, friendly and so knowledgeable! And the food in the restaurant was excellent! The rum tasting was also a fantastic experience and tasting the different varieties was definitely a learning experience. I had no idea that the tastes could be so different and our guide did a great job explaining the flavor profiles. We also decided to taste the 15 and 21 year aged rums and fell in love with both of them! We purchased the 21 year old rum and look forward to savoring it in the future!! Anyone visiting Jamaica should make it a priority to visit Appleton Estate. The Floyd's Pelican Bar is such a great place. From the boat trip over to the food, music and experience this is so well worth doing. When visit Jamaica use Jamaica Mesmerizing Tours as your transportation and guide.

AMAZING DRIVER and EXPERIENCE for Floyd's Pelican Bar and Appleton Estate Rum Tour
This experience was a one of a kind! They have food and drinks available for purchase. I ordered the garlic shrimp and my friend had the fried chicken. Both were very good! We also ordered "The Pelican Bar Special" which was a mango and strawberry frozen daiquiri. Delicious!! Highly recommend to wear your bathing suit under a change of clothes, I wish we did because I was itching to get into the water, but we had the Appleton Estate Rum Tour earlier that day and we were unsure if we could change. Next time, we definitely will. The Appleton Estate Rum Tour was also an amazing experience! We got to learn the entire rum making process and got to sample along the way! I don't want to spoil too much of the process :) Randy, our private driver, was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed and gave us a history of the island and helped us learn more!
