Informative.

It was good. The drive is about 2 and a half hours. It is a long and winding road, so if you get motion sickness, you should take precautions. We had a delicious breakfast with a view of the lake. We got on a small boat; it bounces a lot, so if you have back problems, it is not good for you. We had several exhibitions. And we were able to learn about part of the Mayan culture.

Just go to Hobitano

Skip the Antigua tour, was brought to places really to just buy stuff. Felt pressure at the stops we were there for a few minutes and a sale pitch big time.

Response from the operator: Dear valued client, Thank you for choosing our Antigua tour! 😊 I'm sorry to hear the experience didn't meet your expectations. Our 4-hour tour typically includes the Plaza Central, Cathedral, Calle del Arco, at least one convent, and a visit to the local market. I'll make sure to pass on your feedback to our guides to ensure we're covering all the highlights. We appreciate your business.

Must See Antigua

I scheduled this tour the day before and everything worked out perfectly. Juan picked me up promptly at my hotel in Guatemala City and the ride was wonderful. He was joined by his wife and one other tourist and we even stopped to get coffee on the way to Antigua. Roberto our tour guide did a fantastic job showing us around town. We stopped for lunch at a local restaurant serving Guatemalan food and it was absolutely delicious. We had time to see many landmarks in the city with the beautiful backdrop of the mountains. Next time I come to Guatemala I will stay in Antigua because of this tour. Instead of going to Hobbitenango, we went to Altimida and Im so glad we did . The views were stunning and it wasnt crowded at all. Im very happy with this tour and would do it again.

Response from the operator: Dear traveler, We're thrilled to hear that you had a fantastic experience on our Guided Tour in Antigua Guatemala and Hobbitenango! 😊 Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words about our team. We're glad you enjoyed the tour and appreciated the personal touches, like the coffee stop and local lunch. It's great to know that Roberto did an excellent job showcasing the beauty of Antigua. Thanks again for choosing Soler Tours, and we hope to welcome you back soon! 🙏

Incomplete tour

The tour is not done in Spanish and English, they are done only in English, if you do not speak English, you will not understand anything. They also don't take you to all the places they list in the city. The guide asks you about the timetable for going to hobbitenango, but does not specify that you will sacrifice time in Antigua for leaving earlier. Once he gives you your ticket to hobbitenango he leaves and you're on your own. In our case we were there 4 hours and it was too long.

Response from the operator: Gracias por compartir tu experiencia.

Antigua Guatemala (Guide) + Hobbitenango (Transport and entrance): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Antigua.

How much does Antigua Guatemala (Guide) + Hobbitenango (Transport and entrance) cost?

+

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Antigua usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Antigua Guatemala (Guide) + Hobbitenango (Transport and entrance) take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Antigua is not rushed.

Is Antigua Guatemala (Guide) + Hobbitenango (Transport and entrance) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Antigua, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Antigua Guatemala (Guide) + Hobbitenango (Transport and entrance)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Antigua Guatemala (Guide) + Hobbitenango (Transport and entrance) suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Antigua Guatemala (Guide) + Hobbitenango (Transport and entrance)?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Antigua can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Antigua and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Antigua Guatemala (Guide) + Hobbitenango (Transport and entrance) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Antigua within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Antigua?

+

On Outty we rank every Antigua experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Antigua ATV Sunset Tour, Authentic Guatemalan Cooking Class in Antigua, Antigua ATV Coffee Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Antigua?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Antigua?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
