Well-planned private day trip and great conversation

We had a fantastic day out with Kim. From the timely pickup (I know our hotel wasn't the best known place) to the dropoff, it was all smooth and well planned. We visited all points of interest in Hahoe area with Kim's story telling of the folk village, the village viewpoint and the Confucian Academy - two UNESCO world heritage sites on one day - with plenty of time to browse the town and the museum on our own . Kim also treated us to local apple bread and encouraged us to order soy sauce chicken/ mackerel combo for lunch, which we didn't get a chance to do anywhere else during our trip to South Korea after so we are glad we did. Not to mention his safe driving from 7:30am to basically 8pm. When you spend that much time together in a car, you get into a somewhat intimate or private conversation about somewhat intimate or private topics like family choices, politics, even religion. I'm sure Kim wouldn't have forced us into those convos, but seeing our openness (my husband is actually keen to talk about these things) Kim shared a lot of his perspectives on the topics, which was very interesting and insightful. It was a meaningful day out for us.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review. We are delighted to hear that you had such a meaningful day with Our World best tour guide Kim. It is wonderful to know that you enjoyed the UNESCO World Heritage sites, the local food, and the stories that brought the history and culture of Hahoe to life. We are especially pleased that the conversations you shared made your journey even more memorable. Your kind words will mean a great deal to Our guide Kim. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back to Korea for another unforgettable adventure..!!

interesting place

it is a long drive form Seoul, so be prepared to have a drive for .5 hours. we did it private, so it was fine

Response from the operator: We understand that the journey took quite a long time, and we appreciate your patience. The destination for this tour is typically just over three hours from Seoul. However, travel times can be significantly longer on weekends or public holidays due to traffic. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding this possibility, and thank you again for your cooperation.

Great day in andong

Nice place to visit but it is a long way from Seoul so be prepared for a long day. Trip was nice in a very good car. Our guide was a former military officer and we had a lot of good discussions. His English was very good. Overall a very good experience. We had lunch of Mackerel that was delicious and local apples that are out of this world good. Great day in andong.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the trip to Andong and had a comfortable journey despite the distance. It’s wonderful that your guide made the experience even more meaningful with engaging conversations and excellent English. We're also happy you got to enjoy the local flavors—Andong’s mackerel and apples are truly special. We appreciate you sharing your experience and hope to welcome you again on another great trip..!!

Andong Hahoe Village [UNESCO site] Premium Private Tour from Seoul: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.

How much does Andong Hahoe Village [UNESCO site] Premium Private Tour from Seoul cost?

+

Prices start at $38 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Andong Hahoe Village [UNESCO site] Premium Private Tour from Seoul take?

+

Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.

Is Andong Hahoe Village [UNESCO site] Premium Private Tour from Seoul worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Andong Hahoe Village [UNESCO site] Premium Private Tour from Seoul?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Andong Hahoe Village [UNESCO site] Premium Private Tour from Seoul suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Andong Hahoe Village [UNESCO site] Premium Private Tour from Seoul?

+

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Andong Hahoe Village [UNESCO site] Premium Private Tour from Seoul start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seoul?

+

On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seoul?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seoul?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
