Great for Kids
We loved our experience with Ms. Melina. This was such a wonderful and unique activity with my kids. Ms. Melina gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. Her kitchen was so cozy and clean. She kept my tweens engaged the entire time. The donuts were so delicious, and we made enough for the rest of our stay in Athens. We highly recommend this class or any class from Miss Melina. She is a treasure.
Response from the operator: dear visitor thank you so much for your review , it has been a great pleasure and fun to be cooking our traditional loukoumades for you and your lovely daughters

Take this course!
Melina is a treasure— warm, welcoming, knowledgeable. We made 4 different kinds of loukoumades and got to take the leftovers with us along with the flavorful Greek salad and the fruits served with one of the sweet loukoumades. Melina regaled us with the histories of different foods, her life, and her multi-generational cooking traditions. Our most memorable and authentic experience in Athens.
Response from the operator: thank you so much for the time you spent writing this wonderful review It was a great pleasure to meet your lovely family and enjoyed so much cooking with you

An unexpected pleasure!
This was a wonderful experience! Highly recommend. My husband and I wanted to do a cooking class in Greece. We picked Melina's cooking class, because it was how to make Loukoumades- Greek Doughnuts. We were so surprised that loukoumades were more than just desserts. You can make a whole meal with them, which we did at our class. We were so full and took many leftovers back to the hotel. Melina was so welcoming and kind. She is full of Greek information. You must try the fresh lemonaid! Go enjoy a fun time with plenty of food! She even emails you the recipes, so you can cook for your friends at home.
Response from the operator: dear Julie thank you so much for your time to write this wonderful review .It was a great pleasure meeting you and teaching you the magic of Greek loukoumades all the best Melina

Perfect afternoon activity
Melina is a gracious host and alot of fun to cook with. Come hungry because you make alot of donuts, both sweet and savory, which were packed up to take with. Melinas knowledge of Greek foods and their origins was interesting and very fun to listen to. My 18 yoa daughter and I highly recommend this class or any of Melinas other cooking classes. Class ended at 330 pm and we had plenty of time ( even with traffic) to get to the cruise terminal for a 7 pm ship departure. Thanks Melina for a perfect afternoon activity.
Response from the operator: thank you Margaret for your time to write this lovely review , much obliged.. It has been a great pleasure meeting you and you sweet daughter and I hope one day we will meet again cheers enjoy the rest of your summer holidays cheers

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ancient Greek Donuts Made with Fun: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Ancient Greek Donuts Made with Fun cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ancient Greek Donuts Made with Fun take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Ancient Greek Donuts Made with Fun worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ancient Greek Donuts Made with Fun?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ancient Greek Donuts Made with Fun suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ancient Greek Donuts Made with Fun?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ancient Greek Donuts Made with Fun start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
