It didn’t work, waste of my money! How can I get a refund? There are free guides by scanning a QR code at gate

Response from the operator: Hi there, I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. Can you email more information to support@voicemap.me? This way, we can identify exactly what went wrong. Did you not receive the email and SMS with instructions we sent you when you booked? We can troubleshoot the issue and process a refund if you email us your details. I'm sorry for your frustrating experience.

Wrong Directions, Doors Closed — Wasted Trip and Money

1 star. The directions provided for the meeting point and entrance are completely wrong. I spent 45 minutes walking in the wrong direction before finding the entrance on my own — only to arrive and find the gate already locked. I was not permitted entry to the ruins and left having wasted both my time and my money. This is not a one-off issue. Multiple reviews have flagged this exact problem and nothing has been corrected. That is unacceptable. I paid for an experience I never received. Do not book this tour until the operator fixes the directions.

Response from the operator: Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about this experience. The directions to the meeting point haven't been an issue for most visitors on this tour, so I'd like to understand exactly what happened in your case. Could you email us at support@voicemap.me with more detail — where you started from and where the directions led you astray? That'll help us look into it properly, and we can sort out a refund from there. Thank you, Alicia

Ancient Agora walking tour with audio app

The directions from the app did not take us to the correct meeting point. We had difficulty finding an open entrance. One entrance was closed. It was pretty good once we finally got inside.

Response from the operator: Hi there, I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. When you were having difficulties finding the entrance, did you contact VoiceMap support via email or telephone? We are contactable by both telephone and email, so we can provide support on an issues on site. Again, I'm sorry about the poor experience you had.

    App crashes and doesn't work.

It was hard to get started. It says you will receive a code, but you dont. It was until I clicked the contact button where I found a message written with my code. Then once entered, the app kept crashing. So much that we couldn't even use it.

Response from the operator: Hi there, Thanks for the detailed feedback. I want to clarify one part: it sounds like you did receive your code — it was there in the message you found via the contact button — so it wasn't actually missing, just not where you expected it to appear at first. That's still useful for us, since it means the way we surface that message could be clearer so people don't have to go looking for it. The app crashing once you'd entered the code is a separate, real problem, though, and I'm sorry it got in the way of using the tour at all. Could you email support@voicemap.me with your device type and the tour name? We'd like to look into what's causing the crash, and sort out a refund given you weren't able to use it. Thanks again for taking the time to explain what happened — it helps us fix things properly. Best, Alicia

Ancient Agora of Athens: A Self-Guided Audio Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Ancient Agora of Athens: A Self-Guided Audio Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ancient Agora of Athens: A Self-Guided Audio Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Ancient Agora of Athens: A Self-Guided Audio Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 40 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ancient Agora of Athens: A Self-Guided Audio Tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Ancient Agora of Athens: A Self-Guided Audio Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ancient Agora of Athens: A Self-Guided Audio Tour?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ancient Agora of Athens: A Self-Guided Audio Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
