    Lovely day outing in Jamaica

The overall tour guide for the three mini-excursions was exceptional. The boat trip to the lagoon and the swimming in the bio-luminous water was amazing. Our boat's captain was hysterical and kept up a quick banter with the entire group. Rafting on the Martha was relaxing and unhurried. Would encourage anyone to try.

Great tour guide and interesting information

The driver and guide were nice and accommodating! I enjoyed listening to the facts as we drove through Jamaica. The luminous lagoon was unfortunately not luminous because the moon was so bright. A little disappointing but out of anyone's control. The rafting was very relaxing but the guide was a tad inappropriate and made some uncomfortable remarks. But the guide and driver made up for it.

The timing between activities was off.

Rafting on the Martha Brae was such a nice relaxing experience. Our captain was very friendly and fun, and even let us "drive." The Luminous Lagoon tour was also a fun experience with great captains. The disconnect is the space allowed in between the two attractions. We were taken from rafting through a short tour of Falmouth, then dropped at the Glistening Waters bar/restaurant before 5pm... The lagoon tour didn't start until almost 7pm! After having the meal that was included (which you do not get to pick from the menu--it is chicken with rice and peas), we literally had nothing to do for hours. Overall, we enjoyed both activities, but just not the timing. The hours we spent sitting around doing nothing could have been better spent.

Response from the operator: Hi! We are thrilled to know that you enjoyed your activities. I must apologize however, for any delay in between the sites. The norm is for us to get to the luminous at about 5:30pm, which gives about an hour to enjoy meals and the fireshow before the tour of the lagoon. We are happy that you pointed this out and will be improving on this going forward. Again thanks for your feedback.

    Rafting and Lagoon Experience

I loved the rafting experience. Our raft captain,Bob,blew our minds. His skills and expertise are a force to reckon. He also shared with us alot of history about Jamaica, which was really great. Our tour guide and driver, Warren, was really great too. We feel like we learned the most about the country's history and people, in the few hours we spent with him. We got to experince a fish hut and I had some of the best fish I have had. Warren was so kind to also drive us through the historic city of Falmouth. We took away experinces that will stick with us for the rest of our lives. Thanks Warren and Bob.

Response from the operator: We are thrilled to know you had a wonderful experience! It was our pleasure.

    Jamaican vacation

The trip itself was amazing ! The bamboo rafting and luminous lagoon were a sight to see. Our tour guides arrived promptly at our resort, and provided us with a great tour and cultural history. They provided us with everything we needed and created a fun and great environment . Even taught us some words commonly used in Jamaica . Somethings were out of their control of course but I definitely would like to mention and address this. During our meal portion our tour guides gave us space to enjoy (makes sense) , but the people at mystic lagoon attempted to force us to pay for our meal (which is included in our voucher ) I questioned this and mentioned we had a voucher and the guide did confirm we had a meal included . The waiter became forceful that we need to order food and pay now. The second I said I will go ask my guide to confirm , the waiter then said “oh wait yes it is included”. She did not offer us water, any drinks (which I would have paid for) or check on us the remainder of the time . Extremely rude and left a bad impression. The luminous lagoon paparazzi charged us $30 for pictures and demanded a tip in addition for pictures that didn’t even highlight the luminous waters.

How much does An Evening on the Lagoon: Martha Rafting, Luminous Lagoon and Falmouth Highlight cost?

    +

Prices start at $280 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Trelawny usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does An Evening on the Lagoon: Martha Rafting, Luminous Lagoon and Falmouth Highlight take?

    +

Is An Evening on the Lagoon: Martha Rafting, Luminous Lagoon and Falmouth Highlight worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Trelawny, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule An Evening on the Lagoon: Martha Rafting, Luminous Lagoon and Falmouth Highlight?

    +

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Trelawny can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Trelawny and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Trelawny?

    +

On Outty we rank every Trelawny experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Authentic Down-to-Earth Half Day Tour in Montego Bay, Negril Seven Miles Beach, Snorkeling, Boat Ride, Ricks Cafe Combo, Private Montego Bay Customized Tour with Pickup and Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Trelawny?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Trelawny?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
