A Great Experience!!
We had a wonderful food tour led by Helen. Her knowledge of the history of the area really made the tour interesting for me. The food stops were terrific too! Very generous portions - I was totally full by the time we ended. Helen was a great tour guide - warm, friendly, engaging, and organized. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if it's led by Helen!
Response from the operator: Hi Joyce, Thank you so much for joining us for the tour! We are sure that Helen was delighted to share with you the local food and culture of her beloved city! We hope to hear from you again soon!

Phenomenal tour with an amazing guide!
We did the secret food tour of Amsterdam with Helen and I can genuinely say it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Before I go any further, please, go ahead and book and then come back, you won't be disapointed! The Food) I won't ruin the surprise but all of the food was amazing. There's a whole variety and, even as someone who is normally picky about what they eat, I tried it all and loved every last bite! Each stop is the perfect size so you don't feel too bloated walking around and the last stop is a proper meal so you definitely won't need lunch after. The Walking) I was expecting a walk from one shop to another down a road, but oh no! This is as much a tour of the area as it is the food. Expect some history, visits to some of the tiniest and cutest little courtyards and rooms, and the ability to ask a million questions from someone who truly lives and knows their city. Helen had such an amazing memory! The Host) I know I've praised her a lot, but Helen was wonderful. At the end we sat down and asked her for lots of other recommendations. Where to eat for a special meal, where to shop (and equally as important where not to). The whole time she was just a joyous and happy host. I honestly cannot praise this tour enough. It gives a completely different light to this amazing city. Thank you Helen!
Response from the operator: Hi Luke, We just couldn't help ourselves to show Helen your beautiful and thoughtful message! Please know that we really mean when we say that this made her day! Thank you so much for joining us on the tour and we hope to hear from you again soon!

Great tour of Amsterdam lifestyle and food
Very enjoyable and enjoyable tour. At the meeting point, our guide, Judith, explained how life and settlement began in the Amsterdam and Jordaan regions. We then learned about our daily habits and had a good fill of them as we strolled through the taste stops and alleyways. During the tour, we savored mini pancakes, cheeses, 2 different traditional fish, beer, beer jade flavor balls, and a traditional potato dish (with pancakes and hot dogs), plus local whiskey.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for joining us, your kind words is much appreciated. We are beyond happy to know that you liked the foods and drinks that we serve. We hope to see you again in our other Secret Food Tours - we are now in over 50 cities world wide.

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Amsterdam Private Food Tour +10 Classic Tastings in Jordaan Area: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does Amsterdam Private Food Tour +10 Classic Tastings in Jordaan Area cost?
+
Prices start at $444 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Amsterdam Private Food Tour +10 Classic Tastings in Jordaan Area take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.
Is Amsterdam Private Food Tour +10 Classic Tastings in Jordaan Area worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Amsterdam Private Food Tour +10 Classic Tastings in Jordaan Area?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Amsterdam Private Food Tour +10 Classic Tastings in Jordaan Area suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Amsterdam Private Food Tour +10 Classic Tastings in Jordaan Area?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Amsterdam Private Food Tour +10 Classic Tastings in Jordaan Area start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
