About this experience
Take a fascinating walk with me, an enthusiastic and knowledgeable expert, who brings to life the best Amsterdam highlights, hidden gems and historical sights through entertaining storytelling. You'll see the most interesting parts of the city within a sensible timeframe and at a relaxed, non-rushed pace. My goal with this tour is to make you feel like you are part of the city instead of an outsider traveling through it. In other words, you’ll feel less like a tourist and more like a local. • 15 years of experience from exploring and filming Amsterdam • Get a very personal view, as I tell you stories about my life in Amsterdam as they relate to points of interest * Small groups, almost like a private tour * Take breaks along the way

Amazing guide for Amsterdam walking tour
Jerry was an excellent guide! He provided interesting histories of every site we visited, and was lively and answered all our questions. I also appreciated his visuals, and that he kept showing us where we were on the map, so we stayed oriented. Jerry was also a lot of fun! He made us feel welcome and we had a great conversation. I highly recommend his tour.
Response from the operator: I had a great time on our with you. It was my pleasure. Thank you very much for taking the time to write your thoughts, much appreciated.

Our Amsterdam tour with Jerry was truly special!
This was easily the best city tour we have ever done. Jerry is incredibly knowledgeable about the history and architecture of Amsterdam, and we really enjoyed exploring the city with him. We especially loved looking at the old maps and photos he brought along, which helped us understand how Amsterdam has evolved over the years. He also took us to several local favorite cafes where we got to try delicious snacks and pie. Amsterdam is a beautiful city, but we appreciated it even more after getting to explore so many of its different neighborhoods with Jerry. The time flew by and I can't recommend this tour enough!
Response from the operator: Thank you for this very insightful write-up. I'm happy that my passion for Amsterdam came through on our tour and I enjoyed it as much as you did.

A great start to your Amsterdam adventure
What an absolutely brilliant start to our break. Jerry was a joy to spend time with, and he has a great sense of humour. His knowledge was endless and he showed us sights we may not have thought about finding ourselves. We even managed to re-find his favourite bakery while out and about the next day, and oh boy, he's not wrong, the apple pie was out of this world. We'd definitely recommend taking this tour if you want to find hidden gems on your holiday.
Response from the operator: It was a delight to take you around my beautiful city and share with you some of my favorite places. And thank you for this nice review.

The Perfect Introduction to Amsterdam
Jerry gave us (Mother/Daughters) a fantastic introduction to Amsterdam in just a three hours private tour. He brought the city's history, architecture, culture, and food to life while somehow finding ways to connect the tour to each of our individual interests. It never felt like a scripted tour—it felt like exploring the city with a knowledgeable local who truly enjoys sharing it. We learned a lot, had a great time, and would highly recommend Jerry to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Also, really appreciate his great communication during booking and prior to meeting.
Response from the operator: Wow!, Thank you so much for this awesome review. You guys were so much fun and enjoyable to walk with...

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Amsterdam Highlights and Hidden Gems Walking Tour with Fun Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does Amsterdam Highlights and Hidden Gems Walking Tour with Fun Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Amsterdam Highlights and Hidden Gems Walking Tour with Fun Guide take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.
Is Amsterdam Highlights and Hidden Gems Walking Tour with Fun Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 81 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Amsterdam Highlights and Hidden Gems Walking Tour with Fun Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Amsterdam Highlights and Hidden Gems Walking Tour with Fun Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Amsterdam Highlights and Hidden Gems Walking Tour with Fun Guide?
+
Around 28 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Amsterdam Highlights and Hidden Gems Walking Tour with Fun Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
