King Abdullah Mosque
The blue-domed King Abdullah I Mosque, built in the 1980s by the late King Hussein as a memorial to his grandfather, is open to Non-Muslim visitors. The nave with an area of 1,615 m2 has the capacity to house 3,000 worshippers. It is octogonal and distiguished for not having pillars inside. Its dome of 35 m in diameter has a height of 31 meters. A source of radiation was placed in the middle taking the form of a golden star culminating in the Ninety Nine Most Beautiful Names of Allah surrounding the dome's neck. The suspended chandelier of 168 lanterns consists of three circles with the Holy Quranic Verse with the word Allah recurring on every lantern. The fertile land is expressed in the form of a red carpet made of an ornamental textile of recurring patterns meant to direct worshippers toward the Kiblah. All the walls, including the Kiblah, the pulpit, and the Mihrab are panelled with wooden and marble oriels.

The Baptism Site Of Jesus Christ
Situated on the eastern bank of the River Jordan, nine kilometres north of the Dead Sea, the archaeological site consists of two distinct areas: Tell Al-Kharrar, also known as Jabal Mar-Elias (Elijah’s Hill) and the area of the churches of Saint John the Baptist near the river. Situated in a pristine natural environment the site is believed to be the location where Jesus of Nazareth was baptized by John the Baptist. It features Roman and Byzantine remains including churches and chapels, a monastery, caves that have been used by hermits and pools in which baptisms were celebrated, testifying to the religious character of the place. The site is a Christian place of pilgrimage.

A Perfect Day Exploring Jordan
We had a fantastic one-day private tour visiting Amman, Madaba, Mount Nebo, the Baptism Site, and the Dead Sea. It was a wonderful way to see several important places in Jordan in one day, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Our driver Ali was excellent. He was punctual, professional, friendly, and very helpful throughout the day. He made sure we were comfortable, kept everything well organized, and was always happy to answer our questions. We felt completely safe and relaxed during the journey. Each stop offered something different, from the history and culture of Amman and Madaba to the beautiful views from Mount Nebo and the significance of the Baptism Site. Finishing the day at the Dead Sea was the perfect ending. We really enjoyed the flexibility of having a private tour and being able to experience Jordan at our own pace. Highly recommend this tour, and especially Ali as a driver. He made our day easy, comfortable, and enjoyable. Excellent experience from beginning to end!

Our journey through Amman, Madaba, Mount Nebo, the Baptism Site, and the Dead Sea was absolutely magnificent and gave us an incredible combination of history, culture, spirituality, and breathtaking scenery. We began our day in Amman, Jordan's fascinating capital, where ancient history and modern life come together. It was the perfect starting point and gave us a wonderful introduction to the country. From Amman, we continued to Madaba, a place rich in history and culture. The famous mosaics and historic churches were fascinating to see, and walking through this remarkable city gave us a deeper appreciation for Jordan's incredible heritage. Our next stop was Mount Nebo, which was truly spectacular. The historical and biblical significance of the site, combined with the magnificent views across the surrounding landscape, made this one of the most memorable moments of the day. It is the kind of place where you can stand quietly for a moment and simply take in the beauty and history surrounding you. We then visited the Baptism Site, a deeply meaningful and fascinating place. Standing at such an important religious and historical location was a very special experience. The peaceful atmosphere and significance of the site made this stop stand out as one of the most memorable parts of our journey. Finally, we continued to the Dead Sea, which provided a spectacular ending to an already incredible day. The extraordinary landscape, mountains, and unique setting made it a perfect place to finish our adventure. One Day, Five Stops, and One Driver Who Made the Difference
Some day trips are remembered because of the places. This one will be remembered because of the person who took us through them. We had only one day to experience Amman, Madaba, Mount Nebo, the Baptism Site, and the Dead Sea, and somehow it turned into one of the most enjoyable days of our Jordan trip. A huge part of that was our driver, Ayham. From the moment we started, Ayham had the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness. He was punctual, attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to travel with. More importantly, he never made the day feel like a race against the clock. We started in Amman, then continued through Madaba and toward Mount Nebo. Each place had its own character, but what I appreciated most was having someone who could put the journey into context rather than simply driving us from one location to another. Ayham was always happy to answer our questions, explain things, recommend where to spend a little extra time, and make the day work around us. The Baptism Site was a particularly memorable stop, with a completely different atmosphere from the rest of the day. And after all the sightseeing, finishing at the Dead Sea was the perfect way to end our route. But honestly, the places were only half of the experience. The other half was the road between them. With Ayham, those drives never felt like wasted time. We talked, laughed, asked questions, admired the scenery, and learned things about Jordan that we probably wouldn't have discovered from a guidebook. He also had a wonderful instinct for the small details — when we might need a break, when a viewpoint was worth stopping for, and when it was better simply to enjoy the scenery. By the end of the day, Ayham didn't feel like someone we had hired for transportation. He felt like the person who had been looking after our day. That's a difficult quality to describe, but it's something you notice immediately when you experience it. We could have visited these same places with any number of drivers. What made our day different was Ayham. He didn't just get us from Amman to Madaba, Mount Nebo, the Baptism Site, and the Dead Sea. He connected the whole day together. So if you're considering this itinerary, my strongest recommendation isn't only about the route. It's this: If you get the opportunity to have Ayham as your driver, you are in very good hands. Thank you, Ayham, for the safe driving, the patience, the conversations, the local insight, and all the little things you did without us even having to ask. We started the morning with a schedule. We finished the day with a memory. And Ayham deserves most of the credit for that. Absolutely outstanding service and a driver we would happily choose again.

A Day Full of History, Culture & Relaxation in Jordan
What a fantastic day exploring some of the most interesting places around Amman! We managed to experience Amman, Madaba, Mount Nebo, the Baptism Site, and the Dead Sea all in one day, and it was a wonderful way to discover a completely different side of Jordan. What made this day special was the variety. We started with the lively atmosphere and history of Amman, then moved on to the beautiful mosaics and cultural heritage of Madaba. From there, Mount Nebo offered incredible views and a peaceful atmosphere that made us want to stay longer. The Baptism Site was another very meaningful stop. Regardless of your religious background, there is something special about standing in a place with such deep historical and spiritual significance. It was fascinating to learn about the site's history and take in the surroundings. We then finished the day at the Dead Sea, which was the perfect ending. After a full day of sightseeing, being able to relax, float in the salty water, and enjoy the scenery was exactly what we needed. It was such a unique experience and definitely one of the highlights of the day. We really enjoyed how different each stop was. In just one day, we experienced city life, ancient history, religious heritage, spectacular landscapes, and finally a relaxing experience at the Dead Sea. It was a long day, but it never felt boring because there was always something new to see and experience. The journey itself was also enjoyable, with beautiful scenery along the way. For anyone visiting Jordan and wanting to experience several important places without spending multiple days traveling, this is a fantastic itinerary. It gives you a great introduction to the country's history, culture, landscapes, and natural wonders. We came back to Amman tired but very happy, with lots of great photos and memories from an amazing day. Highly recommended! A perfect combination of history, culture, spirituality, beautiful scenery, and relaxation — all in one unforgettable day in Jordan!
