  1. King Abdullah Mosque

The blue-domed King Abdullah I Mosque, built in the 1980s by the late King Hussein as a memorial to his grandfather, is open to Non-Muslim visitors. The nave with an area of 1,615 m2 has the capacity to house 3,000 worshippers. It is octogonal and distiguished for not having pillars inside. Its dome of 35 m in diameter has a height of 31 meters. A source of radiation was placed in the middle taking the form of a golden star culminating in the Ninety Nine Most Beautiful Names of Allah surrounding the dome's neck. The suspended chandelier of 168 lanterns consists of three circles with the Holy Quranic Verse with the word Allah recurring on every lantern. The fertile land is expressed in the form of a red carpet made of an ornamental textile of recurring patterns meant to direct worshippers toward the Kiblah. All the walls, including the Kiblah, the pulpit, and the Mihrab are panelled with wooden and marble oriels.

Mount Qalaa in Amman emerged as the capital of the Ammonians.

Exceptional One-Day Experience in Amman & the Dead Sea

We had an absolutely wonderful one-day trip exploring Amman and the Dead Sea with our driver, Khalil. From the very beginning, everything felt effortless, comfortable, and exceptionally well organized. Khalil was professional, punctual, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the journey enjoyable with his insights about Jordan, while also giving us the freedom to explore at our own pace. His driving was smooth and safe, and he was always attentive to what we needed throughout the day. Amman was fascinating to explore, but the highlight was definitely the Dead Sea. The scenery was breathtaking, and having Khalil with us made the entire experience relaxed and stress-free. He was also happy to help with photos and make sure we had plenty of time to enjoy the experience rather than feeling rushed. What really stood out was the personal level of service. Khalil was more than just a driver — he was a thoughtful host who genuinely cared about making our day special. If you're visiting Jordan and want a private, comfortable, and high-quality experience, I would highly recommend asking for Khalil. He made our one-day Amman and Dead Sea trip truly memorable. 5 stars without hesitation. Thank you, Khalil, for an unforgettable day in Jordan!

If you only have one day in Jordan, this is exactly how to spend it!

Some days are simply too good to be called “just a day.” Our experience exploring Amman and the Dead Sea was one of those days that leaves you with beautiful memories long after the journey ends. From the energy and history of Jordan’s capital to the breathtaking landscapes surrounding the Dead Sea, every part of the experience had something special to offer. Amman was fascinating from the very beginning — a city where ancient history and everyday life come together in such a unique way. Exploring its highlights, taking in the views, and experiencing the atmosphere gave us a wonderful introduction to Jordan. The journey toward the Dead Sea was just as memorable, with spectacular scenery along the way. Arriving at the Dead Sea and seeing the incredible landscape in person was the perfect change of pace after exploring the city. And a big reason the day was so enjoyable was our driver, Issa. He was incredibly friendly, professional, patient, and reliable. From the first moment until the end of the journey, he made sure everything was comfortable and stress-free. His positive attitude and helpfulness made us feel genuinely well looked after. Issa was not simply our driver; he became an important part of the experience. He was always ready to help, happy to share local knowledge, and made sure we could enjoy the day at a comfortable pace. What could have been a simple sightseeing trip turned into a truly memorable Jordanian experience. We saw beautiful places, enjoyed incredible views, learned more about the country, and made memories we will be talking about for a long time. Thank you, Issa, for turning a day of sightseeing into a day we will always remember. Beautiful destinations, wonderful hospitality, and an exceptional driver — highly recommended!

A Perfect Day in Jordan — Amman & Dead Sea

We had an amazing one-day tour combining Amman and the Dead Sea, and it was the perfect way to experience two completely different sides of Jordan in a single day. Exploring Amman was a fantastic experience — discovering the city, its history, culture, and beautiful views gave us a real feel for Jordanian life. From the lively streets to the historical sites, every stop had something interesting to offer. Then came the Dead Sea, which was the perfect way to finish the day. Floating in the salty water, enjoying the incredible scenery, and simply relaxing after exploring Amman was an unforgettable experience. Everything was smooth, comfortable, and well organized from beginning to end. The timing was excellent, the transportation was comfortable, and we never felt rushed. We could simply enjoy the day and take in everything Jordan had to offer. A big thank you to Tour Experts for arranging such a wonderful experience and for making the whole day easy and enjoyable. Their professionalism, organization, and attention to their guests really stood out. If you're visiting Jordan and only have one day, we highly recommend combining Amman + the Dead Sea. It gives you history, culture, beautiful scenery, and relaxation all in one amazing day. A beautiful experience, great service, and memories we will definitely take home with us. Amman and Dead Sea Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amman.

How much does Amman and Dead Sea Private Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amman usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amman and Dead Sea Private Tour take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amman is not rushed.

Is Amman and Dead Sea Private Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amman, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amman and Dead Sea Private Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Amman and Dead Sea Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Amman and Dead Sea Private Tour?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amman can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amman and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amman and Dead Sea Private Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amman within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amman?

+

On Outty we rank every Amman experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Amman: Petra and Wadi rum Private/Group Full day Tour, From Amman :Private or Group Full day tour to Petra, Amman Petra Full-Day Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amman?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amman?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
