Fun, engaging trolley ride for both history and architecture buffs, with a movie connection!
Trolley driver is highly safety aware, and Mary was our guide - knowledgeable and engaging - also at the ready with ice cold bottled water! This is a great way to learn both the ancient (8 flags) as well as more recent 175-year history of Amelia Island. Who knew they've had paper mills this long and guess who a prime customer is for their product? Beautiful residential and church architecture on display as well.

An open air trolley...
An open air trolley during a thunderstorm doesn’t sound like a great idea, but I’m so GLAD I did it! Mary and Mark were amazing. They made sure we were all comfortable and shut the flaps on half the trolley so that we could take good photos and have views out the other side. Mark went out of his way driving that big rig to change the route so all the points of interest were on the open side. Mary followed along with the route changes, providing interesting insights and stories regarding the history of Fernandina and Amelia Island. I was traveling alone and they were both so kind, informative, and genuinely interesting to talk to. I will recommend to anyone visiting Fernandina to take one of their tours. Good people, fun, and interesting!

Our very experienced guides have pretty much seen most of what can be anticipated on this island. The storms can come unannounced into the afternoon and we have almost perfected, a way to keep yo dry and still see everything that there is to see, while staying dry!! Thank you for this review as it is a little different to most and does address a very common question as in "what happens if it rains?". We really hope to see you again soon and thank you one more time time for travelling on the island with AIHT's.
