Spectacular sites but busy and rushed.

We were the only people on the tour and our driver and guide picked us up from our hotel. We expected a four hour tour but were told we needed to leave an hour at each end for traffic problems. The tour guide was extremely friendly and personable, but he did not really provide a tour as much as pointed out things at the Palace and temples. This may have been due to more limited English and we were glad we had been on another tour the previous evening as we knew some of the history / religious information required. The previous day’s guide also had a folder of pictures/maps to illustrate key points for us and this would have been really good on this tour. The sites were phenomenally busy with large tour groups jostling loudly to take set piece group photos. I really wanted to linger and take some photographs and look a bit more. My advice would be to find less popular times (evening/early morning).

Response from the operator: Good Morning from Bangkok, i will highly appreciate if you may suggest us the tours you have visited so we can improve our service and make the best possible. however thanks for your kind chance to give us serve you while you are in Thailand. your a bit specific information as tours name or dates of tours would help us to improve

How far in advance should I book Amazing Bangkok Tour with Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew & Wat Arun?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

+

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
