About this experience
A half or full day bicycle ride is the ideal way to explore the main Amalfi Coast road from Amalfi to Positano and back. While basic cycling skills are required to handle possible traffic in some stretches, and a fair fitness level to face the numerous (but not steep or long) hills -unless you opt for the much easier e-bikes-, once you get going you easily realize how much better it is to be on a bike, rather than in a car or bus. You'll be able to fully enjoy the environment, stop at any corner at your will to enjoy the scenery and take pictures, and get some healthy exercise on top of all!

Praiano trip
Daniele’s excellent description of the area and rides was a major factor in decision to book a trip to the Amalfi coast and in every respect exceeded expectations! Beautiful area, once in a lifetime rides, well-maintained and high quality bikes, and he made it logistically as easy as possible!!!

5🌟review from someone who didn’t want to go
Daniel was the best tour guide for our family. We are an athletic family, but I was terrified to ride on the Amalfi roads. Daniel talked me off a ledge when my anxiety took over at the beginning of the ride. He then judged how fast to ride, where to ride, when to take breaks and how far to go. We appreciated and loved him by the end of our trip, and decided it was easier biking with Daniel, than driving the Amalfi roads. This day, was the highlight of our trip to Italy. 5 🌟

Excellent
I can’t recommend this company enough. The bike hired was excellent. I had my luggage moved on daily and it always arrived at the scheduled time. Daniele was so helpful checking my route that I had plotted, making recommendations and I couldn’t have asked for me. Brilliant company. Everything you need. He knows the area very well.

Excellent Amalfi Cycling Experiences
Booked for 3 adult family members from Australia. Daniele is a prompt & clear communicator. Ebikes of a high quality and well maintained. We did all three tours with the downloadable GPS routes on my phone. A quad lock handlebar mount was brought from home. All routes were incredibly scenic and we were grateful for the e-bikes whilst ascending the steep hills. Traffic on the coast route was busy and possibly more so due to the Easter holiday period. This is fine if you're a confident cyclist & patient when traffic slows to a stop. Highly recommended!

100% awesome service and experience
Daniele was awesome. We used his services to e-bike down the amalfi coast over several days. Bikes were awesome - he was awesome shuttling our luggage - communication was awesome. 100% upstanding business.

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Amalfi Drive cycling tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amalfi.
How much does Amalfi Drive cycling tour cost?
+
Prices start at $104 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amalfi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Amalfi Drive cycling tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amalfi is not rushed.
Is Amalfi Drive cycling tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Amalfi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Amalfi Drive cycling tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Amalfi Drive cycling tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Amalfi Drive cycling tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amalfi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amalfi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Amalfi Drive cycling tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amalfi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amalfi?
+
On Outty we rank every Amalfi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hands-On Cooking Class & Farmhouse Tour on the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Coast Boat Rental: Explore, Swim, and Relax at Your Pace, Amalfi Coast & Positano: Boat Tour with Snorkeling & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amalfi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amalfi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
