BOOK it - ask for Rafaelle - you will LOVE it!
Our skipper, Raffaele, was amazing! He MADE the tour worth it - very knowledge about the area and right level of details on history, while being so personable and even great with our little kids. We had a blast! A MUST do in the area with a perfect size boat that was super comfortable and had everything we needed. Ask for Raffaele with Sorrento Sea Tours and boat #1!

Incredible 2 boat days in Capri and Amalfi
We had such a great experience, we actually booked two separate days with Sorrento Sea Tours during our stay in Sorrento, and both ended up being highlights of our entire Italy trip. Our first day was Capri with Captain Roberto. We left from Marina Piccola in Sorrento, connected our phone to the Bluetooth on the boat, put our music on and basically spent the day exactly how we wanted. Roberto took us around Capri to the different grottos, including the Blue Grotto, and we stopped several times to swim. The water was just incredible. They also made us a reservation at Il Riccio for lunch, which was honestly our favorite restaurant of the entire trip. Amazing food and such a beautiful setting. On the ride back to Sorrento we sat at the front of the boat with a bottle of Prosecco, our music playing, and just enjoyed the ride home. One of those days you don’t want to end. A couple days later we went out again, this time with Gaetano for the Amalfi Coast. It was a completely different day but just as good. What we really appreciated about both captains was that there wasn’t some strict schedule we had to follow. They asked what we wanted to do, where we wanted to spend more time, when we felt like swimming, etc. Gaetano even found us this little private beach near Positano where we stopped to swim. It was stunning and probably something we never would have found on our own. We also spent some time in Amalfi and they arranged another great lunch for us with a gorgeous view. If you’re debating between doing Capri or the Amalfi Coast by boat, I would honestly do both if you have the time. We were really glad we did. Roberto and Gaetano were both fantastic, but each day felt different and completely tailored to us. We spent almost two weeks traveling around Italy and these were easily two of the days we talked about the most afterward. Would absolutely book with Sorrento Sea Tours again.

Mediocre Experience
The experience is a good value if you advocate for everything you are looking for. I would say our biggest gripe was feeling like we were taking care of everything ourselves and advocating for our own good experience. The only thing onboard offered to us was taking pictures. The girl we booked with made us aware of everything that was supposedly on the boat - we were not offered at any point during our ride: snorkeling gear, swim floats, prosecco, towels, a water hose to shower off after swimming, we were not even offered drinking water. The vibe of our ride can be explained by our skipper immediately plugging in his own phone to play his own loud techno music - and - we gave a heads up for arrival at both docks the boat was not waiting for us, we were waiting on it. If you are okay speaking up for everything you’d like, without things being taken care of for you, this is a good value.

He took us to all the best spots, let us stop and explore along the way, and even brought us to restaurants that are only accessible by boat. He also found the perfect spots for us to swim in the ocean away from the crowds. 🛥️☀️ The experience was truly luxurious from start to finish. Nello provided us with drinks, snacks, and even some Prosecco to enjoy while taking in the breathtaking views. 🥂 If you want to experience the Amalfi Coast in luxury while avoiding the crowds, look no further!
