Best Day on the Amalfi Coast
We had the absolute best day on our Amalfi Coast tour with Captain Sebastian! We chose the 7 hour tour, which was absolutely perfect. We were able to stop several times to swim and we stopped for lunch. Sebastian was very knowledgeable about the coast and gave us a lot of interesting facts as we rode along. I highly recommend Positano Boat Tours. Wish we could do it again.

Our Favorite Day on the Amalfi Coast
This was, without a doubt, the highlight of our trip to Italy! Spending the day on the water exploring the Amalfi Coast was absolutely unforgettable. Our captain was wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely at ease from the moment we stepped on the boat. We visited beautiful coves and sea caves, stopped several times to swim in the crystal-clear water, and enjoyed seeing the coastline from a perspective you simply can’t get from the road. Every stop seemed more beautiful than the last. Lunch along the coast was fantastic, and the pace of the day was perfect. It never felt rushed, and we had plenty of time to relax, swim, take photos, and simply enjoy the scenery. If you’re trying to decide whether to book a boat tour while visiting the Amalfi Coast, do it. It was our family’s favorite day of the entire vacation and an experience we’ll remember for years to come. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

A fantastic day we won’t forget!
Francesco took our family (we have two adult sons, 18 & 25) on an amazing tour of the Almafi Coast. We left the Sorrento port at 9:30 and returned back at 5:30. He shared interesting details about the towns along the coast and stopped at 3 special places for us to swim. He also dropped us off at a restaurant to have lunch midday. A truly spectacular adventure for our entire family. Grazie, Francesco!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with us! We are thrilled to hear that you and your family had such a memorable day exploring the Amalfi Coast with Francesco. It is fantastic to know that you enjoyed the tour, the stories about the coastal villages, the swimming stops, and the lunch break by the sea. Francesco will be delighted to hear your kind words — he always loves sharing the beauty and history of the Amalfi Coast while creating special moments for our guests. Well spent afternoon on the Amalfi coast!
This was the best decision we made! Massimo was a wonderful captain - he led us all over the coast with the perfect timing for dips in the water, snacks, champagne and more! This experience lasted about 7 hours with the most stunning views and a 1 hour stop in Amalfi. While I wish the stop in amalfi was longer, you can see a lot in 60 minutes. The boat only had a group of 12 and it was the perfect amount of people. I highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had such a memorable afternoon exploring the Amalfi Coast with Massimo. He’ll be thrilled to know that his hospitality, timing, and local knowledge helped make your experience so special. We appreciate your feedback regarding the time in Amalfi; while the itinerary is designed to offer a balance between cruising and sightseeing, we understand that this beautiful town always leaves visitors wanting more time to explore. Thank you again for choosing us and for your recommendation. We hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure on the Amalfi Coast! - Positano Boats Team

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Amalfi Coast Private Boat Experience from Positano or Praiano: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Amalfi Coast Private Boat Experience from Positano or Praiano cost?
+
Prices start at $1820 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Amalfi Coast Private Boat Experience from Positano or Praiano take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Amalfi Coast Private Boat Experience from Positano or Praiano worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Amalfi Coast Private Boat Experience from Positano or Praiano?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Amalfi Coast Private Boat Experience from Positano or Praiano suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Amalfi Coast Private Boat Experience from Positano or Praiano?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Amalfi Coast Private Boat Experience from Positano or Praiano start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
