    Best tour of the trip

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Francesco is incredibly knowledgeable and a great presenter. Lots of little fascinating details - the history of the region, botany, etymology . . . The tour is beautiful, very intimate cross section of the towns and farms that you couldn't find by yourself. And Francesco was very helpful and accomodating. We got engaged on this tour, and Francesco helped me to plan to organize the proposal. Francesco provided lemon-based treats during the tour. Additionally, the cafe where we stopped to have lemonade and lemon wedges was lovely. Highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to the Amalfi Coast.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! What a beautiful idea to plan a marriage proposal along the Path of the Lemons on the Amalfi Coast, such a special moment. We’re delighted to hear it was the highlight of your trip to Italy and that you chose an Esperi experience. We hope to welcome you again soon!

    Loved the lemon tour

We absolutely loved the lemon tour. Our guide Francesco was so knowledgeable and kind. He stayed at our pace when we walked up what felt like a million stairs. He is one of the best guides we've had in all of our Viator experiences. The stairs are rough if you arent in very good shape but it was well worth it. The lemon experience was also really nice. They gave us some lemon and some lemon jam and a lemonade and they were so good. Nothing like what you find in the US. I absolutely loved it and would do it again.

Response from the operator: Dear Maria, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful review! We’re truly happy to hear that you loved the lemon tour and that Francesco made the experience so special with his knowledge, kindness, and attention to your pace. We’re glad you enjoyed the lemon tasting as well, fresh lemons, lemon jam, and homemade lemonade are a true expression of our local tradition, and we’re delighted they left such a strong impression. Thank you again for choosing us. We would love to welcome you back for another authentic experience.

    Fantastic guide, highly recommended tour.

We visited the lemon groves whilst on holiday- I have to say it was one of the best trips I’ve booked- mainly because of the excellent guide Francesco who was extremely knowledgeable about the history, the flowers and plants of the area and whose English was fantastic. It was baking hot and over 500 steps up but it was paced slowly and with plenty of stops to take in the views we didn’t notice the climb. The beautiful little lemon farm where we stopped for a drink was fantastic- I would highly recommend this trip- you won’t be disappointed

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted that the lemon grove tour was one of the best experiences you’ve ever had. Francesco is truly a passionate and attentive guide, and knowing that he made the excursion both enjoyable and interesting fills us with joy. We look forward to welcoming you again for more authentic experiences in Campania!

Amalfi Coast: Hike Along the Path of the Lemons: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amalfi.

How much does Amalfi Coast: Hike Along the Path of the Lemons cost?

    +

Prices start at $67 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amalfi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amalfi Coast: Hike Along the Path of the Lemons take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amalfi is not rushed.

Is Amalfi Coast: Hike Along the Path of the Lemons worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amalfi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amalfi Coast: Hike Along the Path of the Lemons?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Amalfi Coast: Hike Along the Path of the Lemons suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Amalfi Coast: Hike Along the Path of the Lemons?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amalfi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amalfi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amalfi Coast: Hike Along the Path of the Lemons start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amalfi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amalfi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amalfi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hands-On Cooking Class & Farmhouse Tour on the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Coast Boat Rental: Explore, Swim, and Relax at Your Pace, Amalfi: Kayak-Snorkeling to Pandora Cave Hidden Beach & Aperitif. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amalfi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amalfi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
