Altamura e Matera
I took a tour of Matera and Altamura during the weekend and honestly it was a really nice experience. The organization was pretty clear from the beginning and the guide was friendly and didn’t rush us at all. Matera really impressed me.. seeing the Sassi in person is so different from the photos!! The guide showed us both the famous places and some small alleys that I didn’t even know about, telling us curiosities without too much talking. After the Matera tour we had about one hour of free time to eat in a cave restaurant, it was something really unique. In Altamura the visit was shorter but still very nice. The cathedral is beautiful and the stop at the bakery was maybe the best part of the day, we tried the famous bread and some local stuff. The last stop was Bari, where we visited the Basilica of Saint Nicholas. It’s a very old and special place, full of history and kind of spiritual atmosphere. Overall I would recommend this tour to people who want to see a bit of everything without worrying about transports. Really a great discovery!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're happy you enjoyed the tour and that you appreciated the guide, the places we visited, and the overall experience. We always strive to offer authentic and enjoyable experiences, so reading your kind words is truly rewarding. We hope to see you again soon to discover other special corners of our land together!
