Great day with a very nice guide!

My friend and I had a really nice time on our tour of all of the beautiful temples in Chiang Mai with Jackie. He was very informative and has the ability to put you at ease right away. He was also very accommodating and patient with us. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Jackie. Thank you for a wonderful day Jackie!

Temple/market tour half day

Nui was our guide, he is very informative and speaks English very good! We started our morning with giving an offering to the monks at the base of the temples mountain. Proceeded to the top of the mountain, and at the temple Nui did a fantastic job of explaining all the different characteristics of the temple, the history, and beliefs. Would highly recommend this tour and Nui as a guide through this journey.

Wonderful tour

My husband and I took this tour and we had a wonderful time. Our guide spoke English well and did a great job answering all of our numerous questions. I would absolutely reccomend this tour. The only problem was that I had booked this tour near the end of our time in Chiang Mai. It would have been better if we had done it early on. Then we would have had a better understanding of the things we saw at the other temples we visited. Wonderful day!!

Great Morning with May

We had a great experience with May and the Chaing Mai Alms and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep tour. May was very nice and knowledgeable. Plus he takes amazing photos! We learned so much about Buddhism and the temple. The early start time is worth it for the peaceful and beautiful tour of Doi Suthep. Plus the market tour at the end was amazing. May showed us delicious food stalls and gave us a full tour of a huge market. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Great tour guide, spoke english...

Great tour guide, spoke english well, alms giving was good, you are on the side o f the road watvhing the monks walk oast, you also gove a monk some good and re c ieve a blessing. The trip up the mountains to see the temple was much enjoyed .The drive to the temple was also a highlight. The car was very comfortable and as it was a private tour it was only my wife and myself. The views from the temple over Chiang Mai was spectacular. Lots to see at the temple including the gold temple. After this we went bsck to town and went to a market which was quite large. A lot of locals go there to dhop and also eat.
I would recommend this trip. The guide was very knowledgeable and explained all that we saw.

Alms and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Private Chiang Mai Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.

How much does Alms and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Private Chiang Mai Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $43 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Alms and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Private Chiang Mai Tour take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.

Is Alms and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Private Chiang Mai Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Alms and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Private Chiang Mai Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Alms and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Private Chiang Mai Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Alms and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Private Chiang Mai Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Alms and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Private Chiang Mai Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?

+

On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
