It is a real fishing village, where visitors can eat fresh fish of the day, with excellent views of the Beagle Channel. We take the RN 3 heading NE, on a winding road framed by the Andes Mountains and lenga forests. We will make a stop at a winter resort. Our second stop will be at Chacra Ruca Kelleñ: a place to appreciate the peace and nature of Tierra del Fuego. We continue our journey along the RP J towards Puerto Almanza: a small fishing village, where mussel farming and crab hunting are carried out. This picturesque town was founded for geopolitical purposes during the conflict with Chile in 1978 over the Picton, Lennox and Nueva Islands due to their strategic location opposite the Chilean town of Puerto Williams, the southernmost town in the world. We will have lunch at a local restaurant and after a day of adventure we begin our return trip.

    VERY PICTURESQUE

A very picturesque place, in the very small port you can see the fishermen's boats, a little town at the end of the world

Puerto Almanza, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. Where America begins.

The place is incredible, a special energy at the beginning of the continent! The town is very small, we had a very good lunch in one of the restaurants and then we took the boat excursion. We went by car and hired her there. An extraordinary experience!!!! We even saw whales!!!

    I'd come back.

The comments where they claim the road, the dust, the deficiencies are laughing. It is a remote, rustic place, without highways or shopping clear. Lots of nature, very quiet. Before going I spoke to several restaurants and I had better attention than the one that is further away, so I chose it. Impeccable, Good Service, Clean. There would have to be more alternatives to get there and not rely on tours, expensive and with pre-established times and places.

Almanza Port Tour with Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ushuaia.

How much does Almanza Port Tour with Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $210 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ushuaia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Almanza Port Tour with Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ushuaia is not rushed.

Is Almanza Port Tour with Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ushuaia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Almanza Port Tour with Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Almanza Port Tour with Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Almanza Port Tour with Lunch?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ushuaia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ushuaia and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Almanza Port Tour with Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ushuaia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ushuaia?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ushuaia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Vinciguerra Glacier Trekking and Premium Floe Lagoon, King Crab Route 4WD Off Road with lunch in Puerto Almanza, Tierra del Fuego National Park – Small Groups. Optional Train. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ushuaia?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ushuaia?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Almanza Port Tour with Lunch?

    +

Included: Lunch; and In-vehicle air conditioning. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does Almanza Port Tour with Lunch include hotel pickup?

What languages is Almanza Port Tour with Lunch offered in?

    +

It is offered in English and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Almanza Port Tour with Lunch?

    +
