What you'll see and do

  1. Athens

We start from your Athens hotel/accommodation and optionally from the airport, the port of Athens (Piraeus), or any other location near Athens or Nafplio, or Hydra island. The itinerary is flexible and the sites, the stops, and the culinary options are fully adjustable depending on your personal preferences to be discussed and decided after your booking.

    10 minutes here

  2. Corinth Canal

Our first stop, the Corinth Canal, connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island.

    15 minutes here

  3. Peloponnese

By crossing the Corinth canal we shall be entering the Mythical Peloponnese. Probably the best region of Greece that combines everything you need to make you feel Greek. The region is limitless in terms of locations of interest: culture, landscape, mountains, coastline, beaches, islands, food, drink, wineries, and attractions like caves and old railways. At the same time, the Peloponnese can offer you a real food experience.

    5 minutes here

  4. Nafplio

GREEK COFFEE STOP? Nafplio is one of the most beautiful towns in the area of Argolis (Eastern Peloponnese) as well as one of the most romantic cities all over Greece. We start with a Greek coffee at the main square of Nafplio right in the center of the Old Town. This is the most popular area of Nafplio next to the port. Then, we explore all the great spots of the Old Town and the port before heading for the Palamidi fortress.

    90 minutes here

  5. Palamidi Castle

OPTION: Walk down the 999 steps and enjoy the amazing views of the Nafplio Old Town, port, and surrounding water. After this, it will be the perfect time to try Ouzo with pre-lunch snacks where the locals gather and people-watch.

45 minutes here · Admission not included

  6. Nafplio

LUNCH WITH THE LOCALS: A special location that tourists will not know and where the service, the owners, the food quality, and the atmosphere are "Greek". Multiple dishes for you to taste real Greek cuisine accompanied by beer or wine or any other soft drink.

    80 minutes here

  7. The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus

Our final site to visit is the theatre of Epidaurus (built in 330-20 BC). It represents the finest and best-preserved example of classical Greek theatre. Even by today's standards, this monument stands out as a unique artistic achievement through its admirable integration into the landscape and above all the perfection of its proportions and incomparable acoustics. We head to Athens following a different return route along the coastline almost 90% of the time.

60 minutes here · Admission not included

  8. Cooperative Winery of Nemea

OPTIONAL: Wine-tasting visit to one of the many wineries in the region of the tour. The Nemea area of the Peloponnese is the most famous wine region of Greece. Approximate pricing at 13-20 EUR/person for a tasting of 5 labels.

60 minutes here · Admission not included

  9. Archaeological Site Mycenae

OPTION/ALTERNATIVE (to choose between Mycenae and Epidaurus): Mycenae is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home of King Agamemnon and the Mycenean civilization with some of Greece’s most famous ancient ruins. Wander around the archaeological site and accompanying museum.

45 minutes here · Admission not included

  10. Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos)

OPTION/ALTERNATIVE (to choose between Mycenae and Corinth): Ancient Corinth was inhabited in the Neolithic period (6500-3250 BC) but the big prosperity begins in the 8th century. Corinth was a city-state on the Isthmus (canal) of Corinth, the narrow stretch of land that joins the Peloponnese to the mainland of Greece, roughly halfway between Athens and Sparta.

45 minutes here · Admission not included

  11. Nafplio

OPTION: OUZO distillery. A family-run business that has been continually operational for the last 145 years producing Ouzo, Tsipouro, and Masticha all distilled in modern copper stills.

Excellent Peloponnese Experience

Our 8 day private trip to the Peloponnese with Eudaimonia was tremendous. Nikos was very flexible to customize our itinerary and Panyiotis was an outstanding guide. The lodging Nikos selected was great with many unique features. Our lunches with Panyiotis were a highlight. He ordered everything for an unmatched and excellent food experience. Pick-up and drop-off at airport was seamless. Highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Bob, thank you very much!

Day Trip with Nikos

This tour with Nikos was a day trip outside of Athens to the Peloponnese region beyond Athens. Our first stop was the Corinth Canal which is an amazing engineering feat all by itself. Then we went to Nafplio to walk the city and harbor. Nikos took us to the town plaza and schooled us in the fundamentals of ordering Greek Coffee which came in handy several times during our two week visit to Greece. He treated us to another traditional lunch which was really enjoyable to visit amid locals and enjoy the local cuisine. During the day we walked by a wedding with a "small world story" attached. We actually bumped into the couple who were being married later in Crete, introduced ourselves and share with them a few snaps of their wedding from our point of view.

Response from the operator: Bob & Cindy! Thank you very much for the nice review with all the unexpected details you have included!! It's nice to have people who appreciate our efforts to let you meet real Greece!

All the Experiences: Culture, Food, Drink, Views and Blending In: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does All the Experiences: Culture, Food, Drink, Views and Blending In cost?

+

Prices start at $157 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does All the Experiences: Culture, Food, Drink, Views and Blending In take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is All the Experiences: Culture, Food, Drink, Views and Blending In worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule All the Experiences: Culture, Food, Drink, Views and Blending In?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is All the Experiences: Culture, Food, Drink, Views and Blending In suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book All the Experiences: Culture, Food, Drink, Views and Blending In?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does All the Experiences: Culture, Food, Drink, Views and Blending In start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

+

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
