    Small group - big fun!

Our experience was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional. They did an excellent job providing clear and informative guidance throughout the experience, which helped us feel both informed and safe. Although our group was smaller, they made a point to include everyone and ensure each person had a great time. Their attention to detail and commitment to creating an enjoyable experience for all truly stood out. We’ve been raving about this trip to our friends since returning home and will definitely book again the next time we’re in town. Highly recommended!

Misleading advertising and a very disappointing experience

I would not recommend this excursion based on our experience. We specifically chose and paid extra for the upgraded experience advertised through Viator, and unfortunately, several of the advertised inclusions were either not provided or did not match what we received. The listing specifically advertised: * “Premium Open Bar Onboard” * “Free time: Beach club, showers and Buffet lunch” * Air-conditioned transportation * Snorkeling equipment * Buffet lunch * Catamaran cruise The beach club experience was one of the reasons we paid extra for this package, and it was never provided or even offered. Instead, we were essentially left on Isla Mujeres for approximately three hours in extreme heat. We were repeatedly encouraged to rent a golf cart for an additional 2,200 pesos, despite having already paid for an excursion that advertised beach club access and amenities. The transportation was also a major problem. Our transportation never showed up. We contacted the company through chat and WhatsApp and received no response for approximately an hour. We ultimately had to make an international phone call at our own expense just to find out there was supposedly a transportation issue. Had we not called, we would never have known what was happening. We were forced to take a taxi to the marina. To their credit, the company did reimburse the cost of our taxi, which I appreciate. However, reimbursing the taxi did not address the much larger issue that the transportation failed in the first place, that we were never contacted about the problem, or that we had to spend our time and money trying to figure out how to get to the excursion. When we arrived at the marina, the boat representative had to locate us and was not apologetic. The interaction left us feeling as though our transportation problem was an inconvenience to him rather than something the company needed to take responsibility for. The advertised “Premium Open Bar” was also disappointing. The listing says the open bar includes soft drinks, juice, beer, water, rum, tequila and whisky. What we received was essentially beer and basic liquor mixed with juice or soda. In our experience, calling this a “Premium Open Bar” was misleading. The buffet food was also extremely disappointing. It looked and tasted as though it had been sitting out for a long time, and we did not feel comfortable eating much of it. When I contacted the excursion company directly and requested a refund, I was dismissed. I ultimately had to escalate the matter to Viator, and I am grateful that Viator took the complaint seriously and issued a full refund. What was particularly frustrating was the company’s response afterward. Rather than acknowledging the multiple problems with the excursion, they characterized the situation as a transportation “delay” and focused on the fact that they reimbursed our taxi. They also stated that the representative who assisted us was “courteous, understanding, and supportive,” which was not at all how the interaction felt from our side. Their response felt extremely dismissive and, frankly, like they were minimizing or rewriting what actually happened. The issue was not simply a transportation delay. We paid extra for a package that advertised a beach club, showers, buffet lunch and a premium open bar. The beach club amenities were never provided, we were left on the island for hours, the drinks did not feel remotely premium, the food was poor, transportation failed without us being notified, and we had to spend significant time trying to get help. I appreciate that the company reimbursed our taxi and I especially appreciate Viator stepping in and providing a full refund. However, those resolutions do not change the fact that the experience we received was substantially different from what was advertised. My biggest recommendation to future travelers: carefully verify exactly what you’re paying extra for. In our case, some of the most important advertised benefits were never delivered

All-Inclusive Isla Mujeres Catamaran with Free Transportation: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does All-Inclusive Isla Mujeres Catamaran with Free Transportation cost?

    +

Prices start at $119 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does All-Inclusive Isla Mujeres Catamaran with Free Transportation take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is All-Inclusive Isla Mujeres Catamaran with Free Transportation worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 407 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule All-Inclusive Isla Mujeres Catamaran with Free Transportation?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is All-Inclusive Isla Mujeres Catamaran with Free Transportation suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book All-Inclusive Isla Mujeres Catamaran with Free Transportation?

    +

Around 142 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does All-Inclusive Isla Mujeres Catamaran with Free Transportation start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
