Trip to Cairo and Giza

My daughter and I had an amazing experience on the tour. Our guide Lily was so passionate and knowledgeable in the Egyptian history and culture, we were treated as family and felt so welcome during our day visit in Cairo and Giza. We also enjoyed a visit to a papyrus store and a nice jewelry store where they have lots of Egyptian charms for protection and luck. Our driver Hijazi was an excellent driver and very nice with a great sense of humor and even gave us some interesting facts about Cairo and Giza. We also enjoyed our lunch and the people we met along. Overall we felt very safe and welcomed on our visit and we are so glad we booked this tour.

A amazing day-trip into the wonders of Egypt!

We had an amazing trip with Ali (tourguide) and Waleed (driver)! We were with a young child (almost 2 years) and 2 elderly, but Ali had a lot of patience. This combined with the heat made it very comfortable for us. We made the booking through WhatsApp and it was very transparent. We received all the details on time and had no worries. The plane ride was also very comfortable and you will be in Cairo in 50 minutes. I would recommend this trip to everyone who would like to escape the resort and dive into the interesting and very astonishing culture of Egypt!

Knowledgeable, fantastic guide through Cairo

My husband, teen daughter and I had a fabulous tour with Ali. We flew in early from Hurghada and Ali was waiting for us. His knowledge and passion for Egyptian history was remarkable. To avoid the crowds, we began the day at the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities. Ali provided valuable information but was patient allowing you to take your time to enjoy the sites and snap some selfies. He was attentive to our requests, I was wanting to purchase some Egyptian goodies, to include a cartouché. Knowing that it can take some time to personalize, we stopped at a store, purchased what we intended and the company said they’d deliver it to us later in the day. We also stopped at a papyrus shop and learned the history of it with a demonstration on how it’s made along w a chance to shop. Prices are negotiable- don’t pay full price. A quick stop at a roadside bistro allowed us to taste some Egyptian quick-eats- can you say falafel and shawarma? Yum! From there we ventured to the Pyramids of Giza - AMAZING! The history, the size...the beauty- Ali made sure we went to the best picture spots. Here, we could opt for a camel ride- we chose to just get on the camels for a quick 30 seconds- husbands request. Then, we went to a fantastic lunch with picturesque views of the pyramids. Afterwards, we stopped at an oils/essences shop, although they weren’t pushy we weren’t a fan of them putting several oils directly on our skin- so headache inducing and the only thing we didn’t purchase from the places Ali took us. From there we had some time before our evening flight but we were told Cairo traffic is horrible- we knew it had been a long day for all of us including Ali and Muhammad, our driver so we opted to go straight to the airport for our flight back to Hurghada. All in all, it was a fantastic, history-filled, memorable experience. The only we’d change is maybe opting to go to the souks instead of the oils/essence perfumery and enjoy some leisurely shopping. Would definitely use Wonders of Egypt again!

+

How far in advance should I book All inclusive Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, GEM Museum, from Hurghada?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
