    Knowledgeable Guides/Easy Booking

We spent three days touring Luxor - 2 days on the West Bank and 1 on the East Bank. Our guide, Hamdy, was excellent! He was knowledgeable and entertained all our questions. We learned so much about ancient Egypt and modern Egyptian culture. The drivers were great too. Egypt Tailor Made was responsive and easy to work with. We also did a day in Cairo. Our driver and tour guide, Haythum, picked us up at the airport and we jumped into an awesome day at the pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum. We were in good hands the entire trip! Would highly recommend. They also arranged an hot air ballon ride for us and a hotel transfer. Our family of four agrees Egypt Tailor Made - made our trip fantastic!! An added bonus was supporting the local economy by booking with a local tour agency.

Response from the operator: This is such a fantastic review, and it truly captures why we love what we do! It’s so rewarding to hear that your family of four felt "in good hands" from the moment you landed in Cairo until your time in Luxor was complete. Here is a warm, human response for you: "Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback! We are absolutely thrilled that our team could make your family trip to Egypt so fantastic. It is great to hear that Hamdy in Luxor and Haythum in Cairo were able to answer all your questions—we know how curious a family of four can be, and our guides love nothing more than diving into both ancient history and modern culture with guests who are eager to learn. From the 'awesome' day at the pyramids to that magical hot air balloon ride over Luxor, we are so glad every piece of the puzzle fell into place for you. We also want to say a special 'thank you' for your kind words about supporting the local economy. As a local agency, it means the world to us when travelers recognize the value of booking directly with the people who call this beautiful country home. We will be sure to share your gratitude with Hamdy, Haythum, and our entire team of drivers. We hope to see you and your family back in Egypt for another adventure one day! Warmly, The Egypt Tailor Made Team"

    Outstanding Guide

Shamiaa Rabie, was an outstanding guide! Definitely 5 Stars! She guided with enthusiasm and a smile. Her English was excellent and she had a voice I could hear and understand. She was very informative but did not over burden us with unnecessary details. Shamiaa was always punctual in her appointments and very helpful in her suggestions and providing safety's tips. She was always with us and helped us make purchases in the markets. We would highly recommend her for any guiding activities!

Response from the operator: What a wonderful review! It is so rewarding to hear that your journey across Cairo, Luxor, and Sharm was such an incredible experience from start to finish. We are especially touched by your words regarding Manar and Kaxaty. Manar’s enthusiasm is truly contagious, and we’re so glad her passion made your visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum ten times better! It also means the world to us that you felt so safe and comfortable with Kaxaty. We know that trust is everything when you're traveling with valuable equipment like a professional camera, and hearing that he took such great care of you—and your belongings—is the highest compliment we could receive. Thank you for trusting the entire Egypt Tailor Made team with your holiday. We will be sure to share your "5-star" shout-out with Manar and Kaxaty; they will be so happy to know they made such a positive impact on your trip! Warmly, The Egypt Tailor Made Team

    Great Day in Luxor

Another amazing day with Egypt Tailor Made! Ghada was a great tour guide, with many stories to share. She knew all the best spots in Valley of the Kings, and took pictures of me so I didn’t only have selfies. She took care of me like an auntie, making sure I wasn’t too tired and ensuring I arrived back at the airport safely. Thank you for a great day Ghada and ETM!

Response from the operator: This is such a lovely review—there is truly nothing like that "auntie" level of care to make a trip feel special! Here is a warm, human response for you: "Thank you so much for your kind words! We are absolutely delighted to hear that you had 'another' amazing day with us—nothing makes us happier than welcoming back a familiar face. Ghada is a gem, and we love that she treated you with such genuine care. We’ll be sure to tell her that you appreciated her 'auntie' style of looking out for you; she truly takes pride in making sure our guests feel safe, comfortable, and never too tired to enjoy the magic of Luxor. It’s also great to hear she helped you get those perfect shots in the Valley of the Kings so you could put the selfie stick away for a bit! We’ll pass your thanks along to Ghada and the whole ETM team. We can't wait for your next visit! Warmly, The Egypt Tailor Made Team"

    Luxor - Egypt

Taylor made tour, tailored to our own needs! It was perfectly planned out and that credit goes to our cousin! Our guide worked incredibly hard to explain thousands of years of Egyptian history… and we worked equally hard trying to understand their accent. 😅 Together, we made a great team! Despite the language challenge, their energy and dedication made the tour unforgettable.

Response from the operator: This is such a charming and honest review! It’s great that they kept a sense of humor about the "teamwork" involved in the day. Here is a warm, human response: "Thank you so much for the review! We love that you viewed the day as a team effort—it sounds like you and your guide really did make a great pair. We’re so glad that the 'tailor-made' planning hit the mark for you and that your guide’s hard work and energy helped bring those thousands of years of history to life. We definitely appreciate your patience and humor regarding the accent; it’s all part of the authentic experience, and we’re thrilled that the dedication of our team made the trip unforgettable for you anyway! We'll be sure to pass your thanks along to the team in Luxor. We hope you carried some wonderful stories (and maybe a bit of 'Egyptian teamwork' spirit) back home with you! Warmly, The Egypt Tailor Made Team"

    +

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Luxor and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

How many days do you need in Luxor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
