Uncovering the best in Beijing culture

I had an excellent tour with Rita, discovering the summer palace, unfortunately the Ming Tombs were closed due to the weather conditions, but Rita quickly found alternatives and we went to the Lama Temple and the temple of Confucius, which were fascinating alternatives. Another day of wonderful tours in Beijing!

Fun, History, Local Food.. all in one single tour . Must try!!

It worth every single hour we spent with the Guide and I will do it again ! Lucy was amazing and super prepared about overall China culture , history and traditions and she allowed us to truly experience this tour and embrace the China history. We started around 8 to avoid traffic jam and reach out the first destination which took almost 1 hour . During the drive Lucy explained a lot of the Ming and Ching dynasties but you can ask her anything about China (she can also provide good tips for night life in Beijing and during the tour she was also able to book an acrobatics show for the same day) . The tomb may not be so scenic loke forbidden city or summer palace or temple of heaven but it will allow you to fully embrace China history so for us totally worth the time. After Lucy brought us to have local lunch close to the summer palace. You have no idea how much we eat and everything was super delicious and local (again we were the only foreigners there ). After lunch we headed to the summer palace for a nice walk around. You immediately understand the place is more popular due to the crowds, but no matter that we were able to walk around for an 1 hour and half around the park , make pictures and learn about the history of the palace. My suggestion is to take a guide because without you will definitely lose a lot of key fact that will let you understand what you are experiencing. After the palace we took a coffee break and they brought to the acrobatics show where the driver wait for us and bring back to our hotel but you can ask for any other destination!

How much does All-inclusive Day Tour to Summer Palace, Ming Tombs & Sacred Path with Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does All-inclusive Day Tour to Summer Palace, Ming Tombs & Sacred Path with Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is All-inclusive Day Tour to Summer Palace, Ming Tombs & Sacred Path with Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule All-inclusive Day Tour to Summer Palace, Ming Tombs & Sacred Path with Lunch?

    +

Is All-inclusive Day Tour to Summer Palace, Ming Tombs & Sacred Path with Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book All-inclusive Day Tour to Summer Palace, Ming Tombs & Sacred Path with Lunch?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does All-inclusive Day Tour to Summer Palace, Ming Tombs & Sacred Path with Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
