He then spruced it up with an octagonal pool, white walkways, pavilions, fountains, fruit trees and flowers. It got the name Moonlight Garden because it was mostly used in the cool of the night when the moonlight shined on Taj Mahal so you could see the reflection in the pool and the river.

Excellent Day Trip

Didn’t Even Follow The Itinerary
Imran was a good guide for the Taj Mahal, but I wish the tour had stopped there. First of all, we weren’t given instructions on how to find/contact our driver in the morning. At the Taj Mahal we were kind of pressured into buying professional photos (whole photo shoot kind of thing). After that we were not taken to the buffet but instead to an art shop where we were subjected to high pressure sales pitches. The Agra Fort was fine, not all that interesting. Then we were taken to a restaurant where we had to pay for our meal rather than it being included. Finally, we didn’t even go to Itmad-ud-Daula. We were taken to another art place and we just refused to even listen to the salesman. After all that, Imran had the audacity to ask us for a bigger tip. Frankly, I’m very annoyed and hesitant to do any other guided tours in India after this.
