Felt disappointed after the trip
Our first stop was Pelicano, which was a nice introduction to the San Blas islands. Later that day, we went to a beautiful little island with a bar in the middle and lots of hammocks on one side. It was a very relaxing place, and the natural pool was also a really nice experience. Unfortunately, some of our interactions during the trip were rather unfriendly, which did affect our overall experience. The food on the islands was also very mixed. It was usually chicken or fish with rice or plantain, but the quality and preparation varied considerably from island to island. On one of the islands, we felt the food was particularly disappointing. It felt more like the priority was simply getting the food served rather than putting much effort into its preparation. Another disappointing part of the trip was the visit to the indigenous community. We were actually forgotten about when it was time for the excursion, so we had to wait before eventually being taken there. We spent around an hour at the community, but unfortunately didn’t feel like there was much to the experience. A large part of the visit seemed to revolve around asking tourists for money or encouraging us to buy things, rather than actually learning about the community and its culture. This was particularly disappointing because we were genuinely interested in experiencing and learning about the local culture. As I mentioned before, for us the overall experience was quite boring. There isn’t a lot to do, and we found the evenings especially uneventful. Combined with some less positive interactions, the relatively high price of the tour, the inconsistent food quality, and the disappointing indigenous-community visit, we didn’t feel that the experience offered particularly good value for money. That said, there are definitely positives. The beaches are beautiful, the islands can be very peaceful, and we really enjoyed meeting and connecting with other travelers along the way. Those moments were some of the highlights of the trip. If we were to return to San Blas in the future, we would probably prefer to go for only around two days and, if possible, have more choice over which islands we visit. For us, that would make the experience much more enjoyable.

An absolute must in Panama!
Monkey Island was the BEST! The tour was amazing! Perfect for a family with kids. Ours are 11 and 7 and we all enjoyed it so much. Pedro was our guide and was excellent. He was very educated on facts and made our whole experience from the time he picked us up from the resort until he dropped us off back at the resort seamless and amazing.

How long does All Included San Blas Islands Day Tour from Panama City take?
+
Plan for about 13 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Panama City is not rushed.
Is All Included San Blas Islands Day Tour from Panama City worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Panama City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule All Included San Blas Islands Day Tour from Panama City?
+

Is All Included San Blas Islands Day Tour from Panama City suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 13-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book All Included San Blas Islands Day Tour from Panama City?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Panama City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Panama City and add a light layer if any part of the 13-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

What are the best things to do in Panama City?
+
On Outty we rank every Panama City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tour to a waterfall and Embera village with lunch included, Ocean to Ocean Combo: Canal Boat Safari, Agua Clara & Gatun Locks, Half day of Panama city and canal tour: shared and private. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Panama City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Panama City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
